    Black Hats

And we all know what it means when a group of men are all wearing black hats like that....

    Black Hats

What did Bradford notice at the auction house that the rest didn't. If the bank or a second bank doesn't hold the notes, who does exactly? An individual or private entity could of course, but someone should know; and the bank was beyond stupid to make the move toward liquidation without knowing and having the approval of whomever holds the rest of the notes. It is irresponsible on a fiduciary level. Eric has all the support he can handle, but most of this is up to him. He knows he can't stop the liquidation, unless whomever holds the other notes pulls something, but losing family land like this is like having your soul yanked out of your living body. James was quick to notice that something was not right, and Bert came down awfully quick to talk to Taggert and get some answers. Ash finally understands some of Taggert's actions, but he knows that this full story is something only Taggert can share, and only when he is ready. A truly wonderful chapter...

    Chapter 19

Calder had to be behind this; Chad simply did not have the brains to try and do this himself. So proud of Nathaniel, he killed Chad before Chad could kill him, of course, he was already weakened, so Chad's girlfriend tried to finish the job. Honestly, glad we did not find out what Aaron did to him. Even if he is turned, will Austin going to be ready to face Calder in such a short period of time?

    Roses

Granger always seems to have a purpose to his actions; I think he put into Roses did everything he did to make sure Palomar left the ship. I am not sure of his purpose, Palomar had become so cold, but I know Granger has a reason. Lord, Granger with Ventura brings back some great memories. They have both grown into themselves and become more impressive. They are like great friends that rarely seem to see each other; but when they do they slide back into each other's lives perfectly. Herrera revealed more than he planned; but like so many, he became relaxed in Granger's company and opened himself up. Let's see what Granger can do to help him. Maybe nothing, but never discount Granger. Can't wait to see what happens next, I am sure that Granger is in for a grand adventure while in charge of this Spanish ship.
  5. Ugh, love... It makes everything move; turns it all into heaven or hell.

    Chapter 20

Johnny and Sam are finding that quiet rhythm that makes each moment one to experience together. They are feeling their way forward, finding how they mesh together, how they connect. Notoriety has its perks and its drawbacks, Johnny will have to learn to navigate each.
  7. August and Fletcher have just started on their voyage of discovery. They will find things that will make what happened seem trivial, and others that they might try once and never again; but it will all be done together. They are ready to start their life together, and it is no different than a man and woman, just no promise of a child, but even then, there were children that needed a good home. They will have to work to make it all work, but if they continue to be honest and communicate with each other, let's hope this is but the beginning for the two of them. They will have obstacles, but together they can overcome them all.
  8. Hate that Neil had issues the first time he wore the pen out. And worse that it was an old friend. But honestly, if you never discuss a topic, hard to know where some stand; unless they are just naturally really vocal on everything. Glad that Neil felt he could come and talk to Alex about it all; and look where it led. Alex had a great idea, maybe Neil getting some experience in clay as a way to see how some of his ideas would look in three dimensions. Doesn't have to become master level, just a way of seeing where he wanted to go with a piece before it was too late to change it; wood is an unforgiving material.
  9. There are always bullies and asses in every school; the trick is to stand up to them and deal with them as it comes. You don't have to resort to violence, although that does happen sometimes and you can't always avoid it. I found my big mouth could keep most of them at bay, but I don't see Levi being one that can come back at them, at least not yet. Jimmy seems like a good friend, and maybe Dan will be as well. And sometimes, all it takes is one or two good friends and you have the start of a group of friends. Levi doesn't have to defend his dad or any of the other guys. They are out and proud and while he may want to say something, they neither except it nor require it. They have all fought their own battles in the past. All Levi has to do is stand his own ground.
  10. This is why instead of being idiots, you explore the island and set up a real camp and find out what is going on around you.
  11. Their relationship or friendship or whatever is getting along; but I wish they were dealing with the reality of the situation more.
  12. How are they keeping the fire going? How are they getting enough to eat?
  13. How much of the island have they explored, what type of camp have they made? Do they have something set up to try and get the attention of any passing plane or boat?
  14. Do these two have no sense of survival? Are they just trying to die?
  15. A survival kit arrived, could it have been from the yacht or a gift from the gods; get over the kiss and get a camp prepared. Lord these two damn near deserve to die.
  16. @drsawzall is right, if they might not survive another night if they don't start being a little smarter and strategic.
  17. An interesting start, but I have to say whoever was captaining the ship needs to be arrested. They would have had to have up to date weather equipment, there is no excuse in this day and age to be caught that unaware.
  18. Well, I can't say that I never went camping when you, Boy Scouts, 4H, etc... But nothing since then, my idea of roughing it is a hotel with less than four stars and no room service. That said, I do understand the draw of it, I have several friends that still camp ever year or so; they just like the idea of the total disconnect, you and one or two others in nature. As always, thanks for the weekly look back.

    Opening Move

Ash and Taggert are taking it slow, but each little step brings them closer together. They continue to work together and work toward finding out how they fully fit into each other's life's. Anyone that has ever lost family land knows how hard it is. In Eric's case, losing the land is down to how much his father's disease took from them. The banks have no sympathy, and while I understand in most cases they answer to shareholders, they often are more aggressive in trying to take land from families, to get it into the hands of corporate interest. The way Taggert reacted when he heard about the sale of the ranch struck me as odd. His grandfather put him through school and trained him, whatever happened to send him running from Yoder ranch, seems to involve his father, I have to wonder if there are trust or other financial issues that his grandfather left him that his father could not alter. Excellent chapter, can't wait to see what happens next.
  20. Some outstanding stories, you could read each of these and be amazed at the quality of them all.
  21. Loved that Travis subbed in and kicked ass. Noticed that in the TMZ story it was Travis volunteering but in reality, Will pulled him into it, of course, sounds better as Travis coming to the rescue. Impressed that all the players on Adams came around and stood up for Cabot's victory. The granola gladiator strikes again. To have such privacy in today's world would be heaven sent. Loved it all...

    Chapter 19

Here's hoping that the next script they choose is as powerfully written as this one was. I don't think Johnny is in this for the money, yes, he needs to make some; but I see him picking things that he really cares about over a hideous blockbuster that has no soul or character. I hope that Violet and Johnny have a long fruitful collaboration, Johnny can be Violet's muse. Love how calm Sam was, how he and Johnny just were, no explanation just the quiet resonance of togetherness.
  23. Loved the banter throughout this chapter, and how truly varied it was. Neil is opening up and finding things that he never even thought of, that might interest him now. And it is great that Alex is so go with the flow, willing to try but not push. Neil's idea of wandering and looking would suit me to a t.
  24. Levi just has to keep an open mind about everything right now. I am honestly surprised that Matt has not suggested some counseling for Levi to help him deal with his mother's death and the upheaval of moving away from everything he knows. Not sure how the conversation about masturbation would go with the counselor but... I never understand the religions that try to prohibit masturbation, except in a few rare instances, in the whole history of the world, it has never worked. Can't wait to see what comes next.

    Chapter 18

Oh, all hell is about to break loose. Calder has made a serious mistake; how will he get him off the island? Is there another dock? There has to be an inside person, not just anyone would have had Nathaniel's cell number or known the information to give to get him to head to the maternity ward, or the fact that he would have been available to give blood. Too much information for there not to be someone on the inside. Austin and Xavier were hot; it was worth the wait.
