Have to wonder when and how it will happen. Will Austin be in Xavier and cause him to lose control, or will something happen and Austin has to be bitten to save him? So many possibilities, and any of them can happen in an instant. I wonder how long it will take Austin to power up so to speak after the change. You know that Calder won't give him any time, if he is aware of it. Would Evelyn simply retire, or what?

Chapter 5 A Day of All Days
centexhairysub commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 5 A Day of All Days
August and Fletcher have declared; but August is smart enough to know that he will have to find a winding way around his father. Rob saw something, but not sure what or how much; he tried to turn the Cooley patriarch against August again, but with a wife coming; he may have bigger fish to fry sooner rather than later. August spun a tale fast as he could, did his father fully believe him, no, I doubt it, but that is just that Albert Cooley believes no one but himself. We found out why the Cooley/Crawley feud started. Can't wait to see what happens next. -
German trip – arriving
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in German trip – arriving
We all have to come into our own at our own pace. Neil is lucky that he was able to be there during the rehearsal and see how this was all taking shape. Can't wait for the opening and to see how it is received. And being on hand and being able to give a talk would be something I would think would benefit all. Amazing how small the world can be sometimes and how it can overlap in surprising ways. We will just have to wait and see what is going on with Alex, could be Charlie, his mother, a combination of both, or nothing at all. Love that Lila is there, in a different venue, but nearby to help give Neil a pat on the back and a everything will be okay. Friday needs to get here quickly. LOL -
Each day, each new encounter with friends of Matt and Luke will give Levi a better picture of who they are and how he can possibly merge his life with theirs. Even with some of the signs of affection, that have concerned him, each introduction will give him a new insight or a new realization of what his life will be like with them in it. Will they all go smoothly, no, but good or bad they will give him a better picture of the reality of moving to Thompsonville with his father. Levi's dream may help him, his mother brought Matt back into their lives while she was still alive, even if just barely; so that Levi could see that she trusted Matt to guide Levi into his future. I think Levi will come to realize that regardless of the fact that she kept Matt away from Levi so long, in the end, she reached out to reconnect them before her passing. Regardless of past words or actions, she trusted her son to his father. Levi needs to find his footing, he seems to have lived a rather sheltered life in some aspects and needs to find a way to mesh his old life and old expectations with the reality of what he now faces.

"No Time But Eternity" (Part 1)
centexhairysub commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "No Time But Eternity" (Part 1)
And I ask again, if the Morning Star was truly contrite, truly remoreseful, and asked for forgiveness, would it be granted? Devin has watched and learned and waited. He has played the game as well as he possibly could, but he is playing against forces that are simply above his paygrade. Does he truly have any chance to win, or even a draw would do. Theron begins to understand what Luka did; and I think that wounds him deeper than anything. Luka made the choice for Devin that Theron was not able to make for Enzo. Brilliant. -
Most people don't realize it but horses are really good at therapy. There are several different ways that horses can be used in therapy for those suffering from a variety of issues, but physical, emotional, and mental. And horses know people, if you ever see a horse go after a person, really go after them; then you can damn near bet the farm that the person is truly not a good person, or has done something to that particular horse. Taggert was just starting to really open up and be freer with his emotions and feelings, Burt did not say anything out loud but wonder what him realizing who Taggert is really, is this going to change things. Rupert is just a good old boy. And he is going to mouth about Taggert and Ash and what he suspects, until something else catches his fancy. He probably doesn't even really care, but he has start shit, it just is who he is. I grew up on a small ranch in central Texas, and even decades ago, a lot of the real cowboys didn't care who slept with who; it was always the ones that were insecure about themselves in some way that caused an issue.

Weekly Wrap Up (Jun. 21 - Jun. 27)
centexhairysub commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Can't wait to see what all of the secret authors come up with this year... As always, thanks for the look back on the past week. The Austin, Texas area is hot, with the heat indexes in the triple digits because of the humidity. How it can be this humid and a drought is a mystery to me. Thanks for this round up @wildone... -
Honestly, I think Jeremy was hovering in a corner like Yoda, going, I have taught you well, you are who you were meant to be, drama queens... @PrivateTim just hates Will, but I do think this is more Will's fault than Austin. It is damn near impossible to have your cake and eat it too. That said, Austin is just hotwired to fall in love with anyone he is sleeping with. He went into this knowing about Travis, so he bears at least a large chunk of the responsibility. This is never going to end well, the question is just who all will go down when it blows up?

Johnny needs to give it his all, but he mustn't lose who he fundamentally is in doing so. He has those around him that can help him, but he has to allow it, without it interfering where he is going with this. Excellent.

“The Devil’s at the Door”
centexhairysub commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in “The Devil’s at the Door”
If Mr. D asked for forgiveness, would it be given? Mr. D may have made an error; the time he needs may well be the time that Devin needs as well. Theron has become just a witness, but who will he testify for in the end? What is left of Luka is reaching out, will the tree assist it, or hinder it. -
Love the little slices of daily life, these are just a few things that go into making a connection into a relationship. Neil is reticent about sharing his work, but he is gradually opening up more and more, a sign of how comfortable he is getting with Alex. I do wonder how Charlie is doing. Sometimes mother's ask questions that they really don't want an answer to.
-
Devin has learned enough to know that he believes even his life is worth being forfeited to find the truth. Theron has learned that he cannot manipulate Devin, and on an level he doesn't understand, doesn't want to. Mr. D has been watching and waiting, and what he thinks, only God knows. Magnificent chapter, and I truly cannot wait to see what happens next.

Levi is on a journey, not a quick jaunt. He can reach out to others, Matt, Luke, and Father Costas, but in the end, he will have to look into his mind and heart and make the decisions. This is not a quick nor easy process. Matt and Luke can just continue to be there for him. While they can ask Tim and Guy to tone it down, is that really fair to them? It is their house as well. I understand if they had done a major make out in front of Levi, but it was some pretty innocent touches and a small kiss, not even any tongue involved. LOL. Wonderful chapter, it flowed beautifully and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Sebastian probably did not even fully know what he was repeating or did and is a little assmite. Cole just wants to belong, and don't we all really. Especially in a society like this one, you need someone that cares for you. Frank never really got over killing Flynn, it was an accident. I wonder who all knows that, at one point only I think that only Frank's parents and Dante were privy to that, I wonder if anyone else knows, it might come out in front of Cole at some point. And that would not be good. Wonderful chapter.

We don't know what Taggert has been through, but it must have been hell at some point. He truly flinches like a dog that has been beat one time too many. Clean-up on a ranch or farm after a storm like that is essential. You have to know what was damaged, what it will take to get everything functional, and if you lost any equipment or worse, livestock or crops. Animals are smart when it comes to storms, they have a natural survival instinct and unless it is just impossible to do so, will generally escape severe injury or loss of life. Ash just wants Taggert to talk to him, and that may well be the one thing, that Taggert will have to most trouble doing.

June Signature Excerpt: Stranger at the Grave by Parker Owens
centexhairysub commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Hmmm.... -
Being self-aware, knowing how strong you are is a strength; arrogance is not. Calder looked at the room, but did he truly see what he thought he did. Xavier and Austin connected more than either of them knew, but will the connection hold? What is the deadline that Austin has for leaving the island? Is it self-imposed or is there something else involved.

"The Drowning City"
centexhairysub commented on CasualWanderer82's story chapter in "The Drowning City"
Did the purity of the love that Luka and Devin shared just kill Theron? Did what the tree stored, did the tree know, come rushing back to save Devin at the moment that he truly had to be saved? Did the creature in Theron, for the first time in a millennium find something it could not stand against? Luka gave himself to save Devin, but did the love that Devin always had for Luka save them both? MORE....- 8 comments

Bruce may love Johnny, but he has a life. He has a job that means so much to him and doesn't need Johnny to take care of him. Johnny and Bruce both need to know that the next step is them together, not them separately moving in the same direction. Violet is taking a chance on Johnny, but it will challenge him in a way nothing ever has before. If it works, he could be set; but a failure could end it all.

As always, thanks for the dive @Myr

Open mic night again
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Open mic night again
WOW, the let's get tested and no condoms talk came way earlier than I would have thought and went about how I would have thought. LOL I cannot wait to see how Alex used Neil's song in his opera Werther. I hate that Neil won't be there to see how it comes off life in front of an audience for the first time; although Alex is right, he got to hear it straight from the composer's mouth, and that might beat all. Glad that Lila brought Liam and Neil got to meet him and see him in action, he got over his reaction and seemed to have a good time with it all. Truly a lovely chapter. -
Two steps forward, one step back; I think that needs to be the mantra for the moment. Levi has begun to accept that these people are his family, he misses his mother and grandparents, but they are gone and this group of people are the ones here for him now. Matt has made a couple of missteps, but the idea to let Levi come to this on his own is spot on. You can't make someone change their beliefs; you can only help them see other sides to the issues or ideas. Levi is beginning to look at what the people around him now and question why some of what was said was right or said in anger, or for whatever reason. Levi's first view of Thompsonville is very positive, will it all be, I sort of doubt it. But Matt and Luke have to give him time to come around on his own, to make his own decisions, and decide how HE feels about them and the situations ahead of him.

Chapter 4 Barnswallow
centexhairysub commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 4 Barnswallow
August and Fletcher both proved exactly how brave they are; they both ended up speaking plainly, and in that time; well hell anytime, that could have gotten them killed. They admitted just how much they meant to each other, even if they had never been able to express it before. August found out some hard truths about this father, I personally don't think Rob actually did anything, but of course, he may well already know the truth about this father. And this man is not going to take it lightly even if August just leaves to go claim his grandmother's inheritance, but to leave with another man and a Crawley on top of that, I don't think he will take it lightly or laying down. Fletcher has the support of his parents, and how some stock of his own, could he and August make their way together? There would be more than a little talk, but if it could be deflected, this might be the start of something. I think the fact that August looks so much like his mother is probably one of the issues that his father has with him to start with. Do we know how she died?- 59 comments
