Well, it seems that Sacha and William survived their surprise visit by Marc. He has them heading in the direction he wants, and I am sure they will get to the spot he wants when he wants them there. LOL So, a super-secret base doing super-secret things. We need to know more and soon. Marc and Adam love their family and friends, but I don't know how they have time to even keep up with a tenth of them. Could Allesandro be any more adorable. And what is Hunter wanting to discuss? Love this story.

Isn't it just wonderful how easily this group has fallen back into the flow of things with each other. Even the parents seemingly get along; although Tony is right, in every group there tends to be one or two Alpha personalities that can take charge and run with it if left to their own devices. Guy has gotten Tony to town, now we will have to see what they have come up with. The town will give him some little award or something to commemorate his spending some of his formative years there, after all his books have brought a lot of visitors to this area, and that means dollars. And no government big or small turns those away.

Dorjin and Alydrael are dealing with a problem that has been around since the first two families of whatever race or planet appeared. There is always someone that doesn't want someone else around. They will have to decide if what they feel for each other is enough to over-ride that and fight to stay together, or what they truly want. Only they know their minds. I wonder if the person they are seeking has even realized that he knows has power within him?

Remy and Marc had a telling conversation to start this chapter, and one that I felt brought them a touch closer to perhaps finding some understanding between them. " Jay " has obviously been severely mistreated, and Mistress Therese is the kind of person that may well decide to step in, and the Goddess knows the poor waif deserves it. Anduin cannot have a fatal accident unless it takes his current Mistress with him.

Let's hope that Othri is right about the other's having access to more magic because there are so few left. Can they push back against the Humans, only time will tell. We can hope that not all aspects of the dream are true. Mermonster will get them to the next one, and perhaps more after that. Could more of the survivors from different groups be able to access magic since there are fewer of them?

Highly recommend all of the works by @Headstall, but this was so well written.

So excited that Graham and Matt took the next step, even if it was more of a half step. Never understood doing anything in a car, now the back or over the tailgate of a pick-up, sure. Glad that they talked and both seem to be okay with taking it slow and easy, each step measured and when ready. Honestly, expected a bigger bang out of Vince for the card, but he didn't lose it at all.

And honestly, when has that ever stopped them?

Maverick is figuring out how to juggle his life as it is now. He knows that once he is in Provincetown for good, it will get easier for him to manage the many aspects of his life more satisfactorily. Randy is learning what a relationship with Maverick will entail, some of this is Maverick making sure that Randy is ready for him fulltime. Maverick is smart letting himself be guided and mentored by Orion. Maverick needs to stick to his plans and don't over-extend. Do what he needs and can do now, and plan for the future when he can do more.

Dorjin will soon have to make a very difficult decision, one that may be the hardest she has ever had to make. Could Tigath perhaps reinforce the boundary between Nextworld and the Earth? Make it impossible for the Humans to come through it. We already know that some on Nextworld don't want to leave it, but will that influence any of the rest? If that island that disappears each night under the sea is going to help, it is gonna have to get a whole lot bigger.

This was just a joyous chapter, and it just felt spot on. Tony and Aaron move closer to each other each day. Tony is right, you must seize the day and make of it what you will. And when he was talking to Aaron, he is right, you have to make your family from those you love, they may not be your blood, but sometimes they are closer to you than any blood relation can be. A truly wonderful chapter, and I bet that Samantha does have some ear plugs.

Stephen will have to come to terms with his actions. Right or wrong, he took a life, and that is never something that happens without some emotional consequences, good or bad. Leon is getting better, we can hope that there are no serious repercussions from his injury, but with concussions, you just never really know. I am sure the dreams were in part Stephen's mind dealing with what happened and him remembering more of it. Michael just being there helped Stephen. Stephen will definitely need some therapy to come to terms with what happened. Honestly surprised the press let Leon Sr. get away with saying so little, at least someone found the body of the man that Marc killed.

Mistress Alice is having a better time than Dante, but I think that is because Dante can't get out of his head. Dante is right, Mistress Alice needs to embrace the use social media, good word of thought on it, could help her books sell more, but I am not sure that Mistress Alice really wants to open her life up to that extent, as long as it could be focused only on the work, well maybe. Love that he is getting a sapphire earring, and of course, a plain one for the farm. The number of people that have scanned the collar and know that he is a male Sapphire is expanding, and there seems to be quite the twitter about it, wonder where that will lead. Dammit, now I want some really good hot chocolate, and it is like 98 degrees here in Texas where I am. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Dorjin has to either figure out a way to do magic without killing or alter her use of magic. The Earthers will not take kindly to her killing to get the organs to perform the magic. Maybe try fruits or vegetables, or just try the magic, see if what she has inside will allow her to do the magic. Well, nearly naked and no weapons and this is when the door opens? Let's hope it is our intrepid group trying to get back from Nextworld after completing their mission.

A magnificent story and the whole series are worth a second read. The writing is so descriptive and vivid that you truly feel that you are in the setting enjoying the land, wind, and beauty of the locales. Cannot recommend this enough, this is a must read....

Sounds as if Brian, Gordon, and Russ enjoyed their Saturday afternoon tryst. The way they talk and go on, it makes this just seem ever so normal and natural and well, as if it just fits, the three of them. Sounds like Russ has decided to give family visits another chance, we can all hope this one goes well. If it gets to be just a disaster, he can always charter a helicopter to come rescue him. Toby and Justin had a good right, got some greasy delicious food and will start back. They talked about what to expect for the Christmas season and what and where they will be involved in. Toby accepts the situation with Brian, Gordon, and Russ; not sure he fully understands it, but as mature as he is, he is still learning about life. Will miss this story tremendously, but I can't wait to meet up with Russ's family and see how that goes, maybe he and the terrors will get stuck alone for a few days. LOL

Gordn sounds like my kind of man. That said, I was really hoping to get something from the armoire's point of view.

Tony and Aaron got their pick of the first place to set up a tent. A little shade never hurts anything. Got plenty of shrimp, Tony will be busy fixing those appetizers for Matt to demolish. For the life of me, I have never been able to just get a tent set up. I always can't get one of the poles set properly or am missing something. It was so good to see Ben and Samantha, and the twins are just way too cute. I foresee Tony and Aaron getting more practice with the kids during this weekend. Can't wait for the rest to start showing up.

So, Archibald got cursed by a younger brother, who he was probably picking on. Of course, his father being killed by a mage and then his younger brother turning out to be one probably was harder for him to deal with. The brother probably didn't mean for this to happen, and Dust was able to deal with it fairly easily, but he is right, the brother needs a mentor and fast. Everyone with any ability realized they couldn't deal with the chest. Dust doesn't trust himself to do so; but Kellen knows that Dust can do it, and he will stay with him to make sure and show that he trusts him to do the job. The next couple of hours should be more than a little interesting.

Maverick has come out of the closet, not as gay but as a mini mogul. Bringing his mother with him is a lovely thing to do. She will find friends among those in and near and dear to the family; she will find a job she will enjoy, and a social life she probably hasn't been able to experience in a long time if ever. Randy is Maverick's and vice versa. Maverick may dominate Jules, but he will only do so with Randy's blessing. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Not completely unusual for someone going through something that traumatic to block it out at least initially. Their mind needs time to process what has happened and simply block the events out while they are subconsciously figuring out how to process the events that occurred. Russell did an amazing job; I have been around a lot of EMT's that would not have handled the situation with that level of competence nor sensitivity. If Russell had not handled it so well, Stephen could very possibly have had a heart attack or some type of cardiac event. Leon came through this without being violated, but having a severe concussion does make it much more likely that another could occur. It will be something that will have to be watched if he gets into any type of contact sports closely. The police were doing their job; I will beat that they had already either spoken to the charge nurse or doctor before speaking to Stephen. They were quite gentle in their questioning of him. Unfortunately, something like this will draw the media like flies. Let's hope there isn't too much blowback.

Marc will never change and isn't that a good thing. Marc and Adam are continuing to grow their House and Corporation, but they are not going just for size but for better technology, better science, to be better. Liam and Marc Adam are interesting, as a team they seem a step ahead of some of the rest of the family. Can't wait for Marc to talk to Sascha. Hope that whatever April came up with, is something that Marc and Adam can use. I always did like Alexandra.

Maverick and Randy are finding their way toward being together long term. Maverick is the one with the harder path as he has more on his plate right now. Burt is right, there are other ways to get that college degree, just have to find them and figure out how to take advantage of them. Maverick will help himself in the long run if he lets Orion mentor him just as Orion was mentored in the early years of his rise. The family knows, approves, and is moving things along in their own way to get Maverick there and keep him there.

So glad that Etienne found out that his mission was a success. The letter arrived and the Prince was able to reward Etienne again for his loyalty. The journey to Florence is a learning experience for them both. While Etienne and Corin have been drawn together, they do have very different backgrounds, finding a way to merge their experience and talents in some way to stay together. Etienne seems more drawn to being submissive with most of the individuals he has been with, the only exception really has been Corin, so is that more him than Etienne?
