The long commute and having to share a bedroom are less than ideal and missing the orientation week does have a some cost. It does seem like he has met up with a nice group, but I wonder if Nick is one of the good guys.....or not?
Poor Ranevarger, and poor Kieran, the stress has got to be something even with breaks. Now we have to wait another week to see if they make it in time....
The banter is fun and sharp, good thing it's between friends.
The time frame is settled. It is when Wilson was PM and before the UK decriminalized homosexuality in 1967.....So somewhere between 1964 and 1967.
This book starts with the present times and goes into the near future which is a first for Carlos. It is about dreams and fulfillment. It is about being true to your friends and your own code of life. It is about realization and expectation. There are the usual wonderful trips to wonderful locales, delightfully described with authentic touches. There is terrible sadness and heartbreak and also moving on from a love. Hope and joy are also in abundance and the final two chapters are particularly wonderful.
If you haven''t had a chance to put this story and the whole series on your reading list, do so. It is well worth the time as I whole-heartedly endorse it.
The St. Louis fans were amped yesterday for the parade. Here is a link to the coverage by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch with loads of captioned photos:

Okay, that bit of trouble shows these two still have a long way to go. Heath can't admit he's falling for Aiden. And Aiden can't believe Heath could be either. It would be nice if these two could get past their preconceived perceptions....
Life is a journey spent pursuing our dreams and finding love. It takes patience, perseverance and practice. A lot like fishing...there are highs and lows and especially the thrill of landing one. In this story, there is a painful separation and going back home to regroup and fate intervenes with a surprising happy ending.
It is another wonderful story from Headstall, so thanks to Gary! Read and enjoy!
Keiran/Kerwyth seems to be not just under the guardianship of the Opal, but an intended pawn of the evil Maynor. Somehow, the high king is going to have to wrest complete control of the Nexus back and then destroy the usurper.
As for as the group of five, I have to wonder what their next foray will bring...
Can't wait for the next installment!
I had to wait until I had some alone time to read through this series of reflections which I found very moving, sad but at the same time defiant and hopeful! Love is love!
A wonderful and uplifting ending to a book and a series about being a positive force in a polarized world. In my humble opinion, the penultimate chapter was the highlight and this chapter was the icing on the cake!
Great job Carlos and I look forward to what comes next!
Andrew can chase his quixotic dreams, but I somehow doubt he finds happiness. Anthony and Clark are taking it slow, but I suspect they end up in the loft sooner than later. You can run from your fate, but it sometimes catches up with you in delightful ways.
Good job Gary...a delightful read.
"So, when I think about these big moments in my own work, I try to break it down into three simple pieces. Premise, Promise, and Payoff."
This is the sentence I'll remember. I like to think I take a similar approach, but this is much more succinct in explaining it! Good job!
In July we will have a large family get together for my grandson's first birthday at my daughter's house and a couple weeks later we are vacationing in Branson and taking in some of the entertainment there. My granddaughter is finally getting her permit so she can get driving experience and I expect I shall have a role there too.
