Thanks @ Centexhairysub post above I found this chapter which I missed somehow. Ranevargar has revealed his own hubris and its cost....I'm somewhat worried that Kieran and company are underestimating what this new enterprise will entail....

I read this in the room with my sleeping grandson and you had me in tears. I wish some of CJ's karma and good fortune rubs off on all those not as blessed as he and Owen. A wonderful finish to my favorite book...so far!

While still trying to kid themselves and each other about not being "that" serious about each other, the progression in their relationship is continuing and building. Perhaps it will soon reach a tipping point where they can be honest with themselves.....and each other!

The passing of Nan, was the passing of a force of nature and the entire clan will miss her. But it is plain that they will never forget her as they share their special and totally outrageous memories of her. I too didn't expect her to last long after the death of Stephen so while I was not surprised, I was crying like a baby reading this chapter.

I usually skip poetry posts on site. I have no talent for it, but find most of it to be drivel. This one had a spark of something more. Maybe not great poetry, but fairly well done good sir!

Ian has it bad and that was made abundantly clear in this chapter....

I'm still savoring the getaway in Key West! Ritchie and his bruised heart due to the break-up was almost predictable. Cristina being raped by her asshole of a husband was a shock; arrogant and apparently terminally stupid! I'm just going to concentrate on Key West!

Memories of past loves can be bitter, angry or sometimes sweet keepsakes of a different time. They can also be a bit bittersweet. Gary has written a one chapter gem that evokes a slightly bittersweet walk down memory lane and he does it masterfully. "Our Bar" is the place where once upon a time, they relaxed and were among friends. It was their home away from home. Chapter one is entitled "Fly Me to the Moon" and part of the lyrics are quoted in the story. For younger readers, the song may not ring a bell, but for anyone who loves Frank Sinatra, it was one of his classic songs. Here is a link to Sinatra performing it in 1965 here in St. Louis. Listen to it, remember your parents or grandparents would have known it by heart....and then read the story.

Chapter 1 Fly Me to the Moon
Daddydavek commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 1 Fly Me to the Moon
A bittersweet trip down memory lane that lovingly invoked a past connection still treasured. Well done! -
Well, I think it's now clear Ian is a definite drama queen. The teenage angst is so strong as to be almost annoying. Don't let me dissuade you, my teen age years were so long ago and I am so glad! I am interested to see how Ian and Oliver get along and whether Oliver plays for the same team as Ian.

csr CSR Discussion Day: The Strange Life of Jonas Marks by Comicfan
Daddydavek commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Great interview and a great perspective on a dog! I think Jonas was an inspired story and I was so happy when you found the time to finish it! -
I just hope the owner doesn't find the shoes before Bungo or Drubbo!

Bart Starr the great quarter back of the Green Bay Packers has died. https://www.packers.com/news/packers-legend-bart-starr-dies-at-85 The following is excerpted from the link above: Bart Starr, the first quarterback in history to win five National Football League championships and hero of the most memorable game in the storied history of the Green Bay Packers, died today in Birmingham, Ala. He had been in failing health since suffering a serious stroke in 2014. Starr, 85, played for the Packers from 1956 to 1971, and was beloved by fans of not only his generation, but also succeeding ones. Along with being a Pro Football Hall of Famer and among a small pantheon of Packers’ all-time greats, he was the franchise’s nonpareil role model in the eyes of many.

Sad to see the closet become a cage built on deceit. However, that point is balanced by the judicious use of humor throughout, so I expect our boy Ian will manage to get through this despite his trepidation. The Oprah line was funny and so was: "I’m sure that won’t come back to bite me in the ass." I hope you post additional chapters regularly!

While I realize the f*bombs in the dialogue between 17 year old teens are going to happen, the f*bombs in the internal thoughts and self discussion seem a bit gratuitous. "I have always loved math. I love the precision. The definitiveness of it. Writing an English paper is a winding road to hell. Everything is more or less gobbledygook. English and the arts are all about subjectivity. Math is precise. Definitive." I suspect that paragraph reveals more than you know about you. Congrats on your story and on to the next chapter!

Not my favorite chapter. You've really convinced me that Aiden works for an asshole and really needs to get with Michael and see about that job offer. Michael seems to have his own issues, but is good at getting Heath to provide details and to clarify his thinking for him. Heath needs to figure out that Aiden needs out of that job and pronto. Getting Aiden into bed, at least prospectively was the best part of the read. MORE PLEASE!

Kieran learning that his opal is more than just a power source and learning different uses for it, is perhaps key to how they ever return home....in my humble opinion.

I found it to be a sad story with a ray of hope. The physical and mental injuries Elliot endures are horrific, made more so because he was the one that didn't underestimate the depravity of the abuser. That Elliot was willing to forgive and work things out with Grant and that the abuser chose that moment to inflict his abuse on Elliot was realistic but dark. The ray of hope is that they both continue to seek counseling and are moving forward with the wedding. Of course I would never invite Sarah to anything and certainly not their wedding...

Yeah, I laughed and smirked and thought it was funny. Interestingly, I also thought that the piece confirmed a stereotype that gay guys are drama queens!

It's nice to see Owen and CJ kick back and enjoy themselves. They are secure in their relationship and rather than being upset when hit upon, enjoyed the attention. I suspect CJ will always be a bit of a flirt as he has a playful side.

A Sunday In The Life Of An Influencer
Daddydavek commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in A Sunday In The Life Of An Influencer
Heathcliff was surprised that the bottom took control and Aiden did it naturally.... Somehow that may say more than anything else so far. -
Ranegar is like an onion with layers and layers and their power is sort of the same way. I've a feeling that Ranegar has a better idea of whom he is dealing with and is leading Kieran to an understanding by incrementally showing him more and more. Ranegar's healing will hopefully make that process easier and faster. Now I'm wondering just how many more chapters are left in the book?

Living in Missouri which just passed a very restrictive antiabortion law, I wonder what men would do if a law was passed limiting penile length? While I personally think abortion is a choice of last resort, I can 't fathom the law telling a woman she has no say over her body even in cases of rape and incest. Abortion politics have dominated since 1972 and continue when other more important issues are ignored.

These guys really misunderstand everything...including themselves. Maybe when they quit playing games...
