Thanks for the usual January 1, chapter! I was hoping for it but was too busy to get to it until now. I was born in 1947 and the wife in 1948.
We celebrated with a bottle of champagne last night and a pound of shrimp. We stayed home again due to the wife being confined to a wheel chair and the ongoing, seeming never ending, fourth or is it fifth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Today we had the daughter, son-in-law and grandson over and enjoyed their company, especially the grandson.
Back to the story, I enjoyed the info about the parade and celebrations and the princess' reaction to the smoke and skeleton face paint.
Next Friday seems an awfully long way away for the next installment!
