The only fault in that logic that I can see is that JJ, likes the adulation. attention and sense of accomplishment he receives as a skater. Otherwise he wouldn't put in the grueling practice hours and conditioning it takes to perform at that level. Unless or until he decides he can live without that, then I think your conclusion that he would chuck it himself falls flat.

One surprise after another and Tiffany saves hers until the end of the chapter! Ok, so the false positive was already on the table. However, handling JJ was a surprise. I still don't think the happy troika Wade thinks he has is going to last more than a semester or two.

I saw this the other night and it's available on youtube which I posted below. While I believe he had a little professional help in crafting his speech, the emotion he displayed was real and he certainly is a fine example of a Mizzou and Rams football product. I recommend it, but be prepared! You grow to really empathize with the two main characters and they do go through some extremely heart wrenching travails before hope triumphs over despair! -

Well he is recording it in his journal logs. Since he is a telepath who is trying to maintain some emotional balance it may be coming off a bit more impersonal than I intended. I'll try to watch that. His tone is somewhat intended however as he was up until now known as the "Ice Prince" and old habits die hard....
