  1. I pay my GA invoice biannually, not biennially. My much thumbed, "The New Merriam-Webster Dictionary" (Brand-New 1989 Edition Paperback) confirms biannual means occurring twice per year. Biennial means taking place once in two years.
  2. George is hero for taking in the boys. (Not the cats!)
  3. Pronto...like tonight or tomorrow!
  4. A sweet chapter slightly spoiled by the creeper at the end.
  5. What a wonderful chapter to end so spectacularly bad.... I certainly hope the next chapter is posted soon!

    Happy Hour

So that's how Tony got the bar.

    Settling In

What a gem of a chapter!

    A New Family

The family is becoming a fact.
  9. I'm holding in abeyance my opinion on the topic.
  10. Cade is a precocious seven year old and fits right into this talented household!
  11. Poor Eliza...
  12. Well Simon's memorial was well done and that theater crowd really knew how to do it up right. The interview and especially the post-negotiation bedroom romp was hot! Johnny B has boy, a seven year old. I hope he takes after his dad and has two spirits....
  13. I'm just glad April finally got to surrender his V card. Like I said before, these two guys are so into each other they haven't a clue....
  14. Locally, we just call it sleet.
  15. I was thinking about the gift taxes mounting up too, but it seems the estate is vast enough that it was doable....and if JJ was added to the deeds and assets as a minor as a co-owner that would have tax saving implications as well inheritance tax wise...I think because I don't know Texas law or that part of the Federal code that well. The fact that JJ took care of his "family" money-wise did not surprise me at all.
  16. I was expecting that the password list the lawyer gave JJ would be necessary to get into Simon's computers...but in any case, the shit has hit the fan!

    Changes

Well wicked Simon is no more and the saying goes it isn't polite to talk negatively about the dead. JJ is far more resilient than I expected and the encouragement of Jason and Johnny has helped a lot too! One point not covered by the attorney were the tax implications of inheriting such a large estate, but perhaps that is on a later agenda. At any rate I can foresee a rather large charitable donation from the estate to mitigate the tax burden.....
  18. I've only been to a couple cast parties when I was in college and worked on some sets for play in our little theater. I was amazed at the ability of people to get into and jump from character to character while having the best time ever. Of course there was a piano, not a grand and not a Steinway, but a good serviceable piano and several who could play various show tunes with no shortage of singers to accompany them. Talent is really something seen up close and personal. This chapter really evoked some of that and I'm glad to have these memories replayed in my mind. Now the DP sex was mind-blowing and while many may consider it pornographic, I just enjoyed being titillated. Simon's apparent demise is a sad ending to an empty life which could have been so much more....
  19. What goes around comes around and I think Simon is about to be found out....
  20. I'm glad that JJ has found friends his own age to experiment with and enjoy.
  21. The author has made it clear that they both considered this transactional. And thus for the adult, it is unacceptable behavior. Hopefully, JJ will get through this without feeling totally used later in life as he matures and comes to understand what being an adult means.
  22. Or an Audi? It seems there are a plethora of parents who upon finding their offspring is not heterosexual disown them like they were an old blanket they discovered had a stain that could not be removed...And yet these same parents supposedly were raised to believe "God is LOVE". The power balance between a homeless thrown away teen and any rescuer is huge whether the rescuer is one of the working poor, middle class or rich. People with nothing but themselves to give in appreciation should not be shamed and neither should anyone be surprised by it.

    Finding Jason

Based on my meticulously close reading of this chapter from Johnny's point of view and the earlier chapter covering this same scene from Jason's point of view, I confidently conclude these two guys are directly on the same page and could be in it for the long haul.

    Johnny's Take

Loved getting to know Johnny better and Simon too. Poor Johnny, he really was all gaga over Jason before he even met him....
