    I agree this is a nice short story which could be followed by a sequel some years down the road when these two bosom mates are in their thirties. (That's my fantasy and I'm sticking to it!)

    I also noted you plan to revisit these characters down the road. My impression remains Riley and Phil, we barely knew you.... While I appreciate these guys just sort of popped up, the story remains a tease. Albeit a very interesting and pleasant one...

    If you have ever been a parent or a caregiver for a child while working two jobs and while working toward finishing your degree, you might have some idea what it means to have no time for yourself, much less a relationship. Despite all that, sometimes fate intervenes...or does it?

    I rated this story 5 stars because it is a gem. The characters are well drawn and have some compelling stories of their own. The story revolves about Camp Refuge and the people who make it succeed. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite soft drink and maybe a box of tissues and read and enjoy!

    Kudos to both Wayne and Thorn! A terrific ending to a terrific story made better by a little love and some additional work. This revision stays essentially true to the initial version, but is more readable and a joy to read. Thanks again!

    Tamer?? Well they both are 5th year university students so they are older than the teenagers Carlos started with CJ and company. So twenty-three or -four or -five gives them some life perspective. Riley seems very inexperienced sexually and has the bigger adjustment as he has put it off for several years. I miss the background color that Carlos used to provide where he would describe in some detail, the food, their reactions to it and the surroundings etc.

    Mollycoddle sounds old fashioned and I would use pamper which has somewhat less of a connotation to spoil.

    So this tight end from an opposing team walks into a bar and accosts a wide receiver getting hit upon by a bartender.....will sparks fly? Hopefully there's a bit more to the following chapters. Just teasing! Love it so far, just as always, want more details.

    It wasn't words that changed Patrick's aunt's mind. Pictures really are worth a thousand words and Jeremy supplied her with dozens and videos to boot. The info about trans issues was neatly packaged as well on the usb stick.

    I accept and appreciate that the 500-1k word limit keeps some authors writing. The trouble is the stories can be quite compelling and I just want to get immersed in them and a skinny chapter doesn't leave much room for that. So a Yeah!, But!

    So Riley meets Martinez in a gay bar and M is already speculating on his favorite position. I'd say that was the start of something as Riley seemed surprised to see the guy whose name he yelled out! Of course at a mere 1350 some words, this installment was a way too short!
