    Chapter 15

Luc just wanted the pain to end. So glad Scott checked the time stamp on the call and that Josh came through in time so that Luc lived.

    Chapter 14

Ever the optimist, I had no inkling that Luc would suicide. I don't think Scott did either. For all his brilliance he couldn't figure out a path forward. That's not just sad, but devastating. The story title is a truism. Nobody makes it through life without getting hurt. For most it makes you stronger, but for some it becomes a defining issue. Help exists, yet some feel responsible or unworthy of getting the help needed. I wonder if Scott and/or Josh realize they need help, just as Scott suggested to his friend about the munchkin?

    Chapter 13

See my comment for the previous chapter: Ditto!

    Chapter 12

Scott's life is way too complicated and looks like it's going to get worse.

    Chapter 11

Scott did let the little head do the thinking which lead to the petite mort, or perhaps more accurately as post-coital tristesse. He is confused, conflicted and concerned and turned to his friend who asked the important questions. Interestingly, we still don't know any details of Luc's wound(s).

    Chapter 10

Graham was a taker and took what he wanted. Now we know Josh's story. Is Luc's up next?

    Chapter 2

Josh is a good listener and a good friend who has also been hurt.

    Chapter 1

Sadly most long distance relationships don't make it.

    Chapter 61

Granger is back in his preferred element. And I expect his expertise to flourish, whatever the challenge Mr Arbour has planned.

    Chapter 1

Well that sucks. Elijah is enjoying driving home in his brand new SUV and has the earth fall in on him. Thankfully Tyler and his family are there for him. Letting him go home alone into the aftermath of a crime scene was not such a good idea. Elijah is still figuring out his sexuality, but he is reacting to Kage.... And Kage could be a friend or a foe, I'm hoping for a friend.

    Chapter 35

OMG! Will is taking it slow (for him) with Mike. Somehow I don't think this is a one-time hook-up! The info about the foundation was interesting and I expect Will shakes things up! Still have no clue how Jake and Brad work it out if Jake goes back on duty....
  12. I enjoyed this short interlude with Fab and Thiago. James Potter, Debbie and Coco made favorable impressions. The schedule guy was a dick. Hopefully Mr. Potter can intervene as needed in the future, as being a dick is usually not curable. Impatiently waiting for your next missive!
  13. The part with Ray was sweet. The part with Rusty was interesting. The part with Connor was where Jonathan should have ignored the group and walked away.
  14. I've had my share of impolitic comments over the years!
  15. It's all in the point of view whether it's flout or flaunt!

    Chapter 34

I think that Will is well aware that people will try to get close to him because of his money and connections and can spot them at 50 yards.....He didn't suddenly become uber rich and part of a super rich family.
  17. If you've got it, flout it.

    Chapter 34

That last line got Will's and the readers' attention. I suspect that was entirely intentional. Now I'm guessing that Mike was egregiously wronged (in his own estimation) and it may cause him to drop out of school. Oh, the horror!
  19. The soup kitchen work was practical and perfect and Maddox reacted perfectly. The play was a groping match and Maddox's role was funny but predictable. The make-out in the car was a cherry on top of the sundae!
  20. There were plenty of children's books, but my first real long story was The Story of King Arthur and His Knights by Howard Pyle which I read when I was 10 or 11. I was enthralled by the Arthurian legend. Camelot, the Broadway Musical Play debut was in 1960 and the cast recording was a hit. The movie Camelot came out in 1967. It was gorgeously filmed and was based on the play. It is still one of my favorite films...
  21. An even worse dad joke....

    Chapter 33

Nice one, except I hope Will doesn't forget to get Bongo a decent haircut!
  23. I get the impression that Jonathan's parents treated him as a status symbol, never quite satisfied. Expecting kids to be transactional in their friendships is loathsome. Mad Dawg is concerned about Drew, who only kissed Jonathan when he wanted something.
  24. Book 14 of the CJverse is a masterful weaving characters and an episode foreshadowed in the story about his brother Ritchie's time at the Air Force Academy. As the episode in Cadet was never fully explained it became the longest running cliff hanger in GA history until it is finally revealed in this story. That the story has garnered more commentary than any of the other contemporary stories is a tribute to the author and the story with the general camaraderie displayed therein which carries over to the readers. Others have reviewed the story and mentioned the great writing. I'm telling you it's a great story told well. My hat is off to Carlos Hazday, may he continue to treat us with his ability to spin a yarn.
