Sometimes we have to embrace what life throws our way, whether we want to or not. These two poems are a tribute to aging and the losses that inevitably occur, and how we deal with both.

Phillip McGinnis has two problems. First of all someone's trying to kill him. His second problem is he can't smell a thing.

April is National Poetry Writing Month, and this is my collection for 2021. The goal is to write 30 poems (one per day) throughout the month. The majority of poems are responses to prompts supplied by Jan Hutchinson. Since I turn fifty this year, a lot of them will feature remembrances, musings, and thoughts about the next fifty. A retrospective of my life.

The world: full of dangers unknown, but those who watch step in when needed.

Each day (or every other day, depending on my mood) I will write a 'postcard'--a short poem about my daily dealings with the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a collection of poems I have and will be writing to celebrate life. I want to emphasize the beauty in our lives, humor and changes we make.

There are two men struggling to pass through denial, guilt, anger, bargaining, depression, hopefulness to finally get to the acceptance stage.

The story is a 'ripped from the headlines' kind of tale. It's based on actual events, but the stories and characters are completely fictional. The subject matter is very grim. It's definitely rated mature and if you are sensitive, this won't be the story for you.
