A short Valentine's Day story set in the Charlie Boone universe.

It is 1943 Norway, and the land lies under the iron fist of the Nazi conquerors. Two schoolboys embark on a dangerous quest to fulfill the last wish of a special friend, and learn about the importance of duty and honor - and each other - on the journey.

On the Global Explorer, science, espionage, and environmental activism meet Sea Cadets enrolled in a United Nations science program. The goal of the Explorer’s crew? To save the world from global warming, widespread hunger, pollution, post-Soviet Russian thuggery, and a myriad things adults created but that their children must solve.

Steve Henson was looking for a summer job. Small town life didn't provide much in the way of employment for idle teenagers, so when his mom located him a possible spot at a new business opening in town, Steve jumped at the chance to check it out.

And found the answer to all of his dreams in the process...

Summer vacation had started out well for Derry and Caleb. There was much to occupy two adventurous boys in the rural landscape in which they lived. They had the woods, and the fields, and the waterways to occupy them.

And they had each other.

But then they made a discovery - a strange place hidden in the forest, a pathway to lands beyond description. And suddenly, the summer was not quite so simple any longer.

Kevin was seventeen, and unhappy. He was in love with his best friend, but unable to share those emotions with him. And, he lived on pins and needles with his dad, who seemed not to care about anything that went on in his son's life.

Kevin had found some relief in writing - tales of other worlds and other life. But now his best friend was going to prod him into something new; something that would change Kevin's existence altogether.

Roy didn't know that meeting Randy would be a turning point in his life. Or, that his life would never be the same.

Charlie Boone and friends get together in the magical town of Twombly for a Christmas party and magic show. Better late than never!
