Jason and Derek are a couple that decide to spend a week camping in the mountains. It's not what Derek expected, and Derek is not quite what Jason expected either...

What would you do if you had absolute power? The power to do anything in your life. To control and change everything around you at your will. What would you do if you became God? Would you do a Superman and set out to help the world, or would you do a Adolf Hitler and let yourself be consumed by power.

Chance Watson, a gay, Caucasian free lance writer, moves from the drabs of NYC to just outside El Paso, TX, renting one half of a duplex. The day he moves in, he meets his neighbor, seventeen year-old Jonathan Cortez, (JC). The two males have an instant 'like' for each other, and quickly form a close friendship.

This is the third and final part of the Confounded Trilogy, portraying a May - December story with familiar characters.

You would be wise to (re)read the previous parts of this trilogy, to get reacquainted with the characters; some you will know, some are new. Some references will hark back to previous writings, and will make more sense. This story is told from perspectives, so called Points of View (POV).

The story of two friends, one black and one white, both gay.. This story is set during the racially divided period of the 1950's in a small Oklahoma town.

In Newport for a wedding, CJ’s confronted from the right by a Donald Trump acolyte and from the left by an Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fan. In both instances, he deftly refutes their arguments, impressing the groom’s father sufficiently he offers CJ a job.

Stefano is a young gypsy dealing with grief and loss when he meets the dark traveler, Vargon. Innocent and trusting, he confides his sorrow to the tall stranger who promises him relief and a future. He becomes one with the night, vampire - or kindred in the language of the undead, but finds that love is still attainable, still distracting, and still able to entice and enthrall his spirit. However, the strings of being human are not lost when one is turned, instead they often intensify, leaving our young friend lost within the dreams and wishes of the young.

Matt is a young teenager, who with the help of a new friend, discovers a new world of sexual experience. In the process, his life changes in ways he never expected.

This series uses the Camp Refuge setting. If you want the best reading experience, then read Guarded, Camp Refuge, A Silent Song, and Broken. They are shorts, though. So if you're feeling impatient, then just dive in.

I will update this sporadically, and each chapter will be stand-alone (mostly - there may be recurring characters down the line).

I really wanted to create something that showed off the effect the camp has on regular folks just coming to camp. Little snapshots of lives lived and changed thanks to Greg's dream.
