A response to Prompt #68:

Imagine where your character leads a pretty decent single life. Then there is a phone call and that life is turned upside down as they find out, they have just become a parent—to a teenager. Is this a cousin that has been left with no other family members? A god child? A niece or nephew? What is this first meeting between them going to be like?

The circumstances whereby Manny obtains guardianship are a little strange, to say the least. Not to mention what happens afterward.

The assignment he was offered was too lucrative to turn down. He was good at what he did...the best actually. What he didn't count on was his feelings getting in the way. Now he has a choice to make, or does he?

Adam is a punk - but there are reasons for that. Like his whack-a-doodle mom dating the principal. Then there is Randy and Nick making a boys hormones, well, moan. But what does it all mean?

Will has grown up, and into his relationship with Andrew. He has discovered that teaching brings its own rewards, and that the shyest kid in his class is crying out for someone to notice him. Will must come to grips with his own family, and finally put some old demons to rest as his grandmother arrives to inspect the new addition to her family.

Erron Murfin is the newest crew member on board the Santa Claus, piecing his life back together with the help of the crew and the chef, Gamin, a long time family friend.

This is the first story in the series entitled, "Wearing Green on Thursday." It is the first part of the fictional autobiography of Bruce Hutton, a gay man in his late forties.

In this story, we meet Bruce, who is a championship swimmer, and learn of his struggles with his sexuality. We are introduced to his best friend, Craig, with whom Bruce will have the pleasure of exploring gay sex.

It's been said that suffering builds character. And there are few that know suffering better than young Justin. Only 14 years old, he has found an easy way out. A suicidal tendency that he is hoping will bring an end to his misery. But when he meets a mysterious boy at the end of Navy Pier one dark evening...he is given an alternative.
