This is the story of Bryce Silverton, a 15 year old lad,

who lives and works on the family cattle station in the remote Western Australian Outback.

Although born in Australia, Carson has lived and been educated in Eastern Canada for most of his life, with the family making a trip back to Australia before his younger brother - Kit was born. Now having completed his high school education, Carson was in his third year of University studies, in Environmental Studies, specialising in Geophysics and Volcanology.

We follow Carson through his first few years of adulthood, which includes been caught up in a Volcano eruption in the Yukon Territory, just a few months after returning from a holiday to Australia, staying with his Aunty Jos in Alice Springs.

Alone among the humans with only whispered rumors to guide me, I longed for the cool meadows of my homeland, but I was on a mission. Humans plagued me. They sought me out for the magic I could weave into metal, never divining my true purpose searching among their stables.

A gravitational wave sweeps the USS Explorer to the star system 55 Cancri. The crew detects a deserted alien airport on a planet in the habitable zone. The planet, however, is not deserted. A young native and a stranded alien crew spots the arrival of the spaceship from Earth. Unsettling events follow. Will the humans ever return to Earth?

Follow the story of Lewis Grantham, a young man, going through his teen years, working on the family on weekends and holidays, just like the 5 generations of the family before him, since 1865, and his adventures while on holidays in the UK, after graduation from high school.
