Life's not easy - but then?

Sebastian Sanspere is an enigma. Everyone likes him, but no one knows anything about him. He wears clothes under protest, but no one seems to mind. His home life is alarmingly odd. He doesn’t know who his father was, yet he’s managed to remain a ‘normal’ and thoroughly nice guy in the opinion of those who are not concerned by his penchant for nudity.

In this fast paced tale of criminal intrigue, porno rings, abductions and violence in tropical Australia, Sebastian and his boyfriend, Reginald, get accidentally caught up in the mayhem and have to fight for their lives against the big-moneyed bad boys.

The oldest of two boys, of a single mother, Wesley helps his mum to bring up his baby brother, as well as attending school and having a part time job.

Life changes suddenly, with the death of the store owner, Wesley's boss, who he regarded as his adopted grandfather.

Falling into a deep depression, from the loss of his boss, and the risk of medical intervention by his mother, Wesley flees from home, where by chance he finds a new home, eventually a new job and friends.

Although born in Australia, Carson has lived and been educated in Eastern Canada for most of his life, with the family making a trip back to Australia before his younger brother - Kit was born. Now having completed his high school education, Carson was in his third year of University studies, in Environmental Studies, specialising in Geophysics and Volcanology.

We follow Carson through his first few years of adulthood, which includes been caught up in a Volcano eruption in the Yukon Territory, just a few months after returning from a holiday to Australia, staying with his Aunty Jos in Alice Springs.

At an army barracks in Australia's arid Northern territory, Captain Mark Phillips and Corporal Scott Garnett fall in love. Life has been very hard for me these past few months, with the Covid Virus quickly spreading around the world, which had resulted in the shutting down of a lot of businesses due to quarantine restrictions, and which resulted in me loosing me job and soon after my rental home of the past four years. Although I was single, gay and have no close family, with my parents killed in a train crash while on holidays when I was seventeen, and my two older siblings, Melissa and Trenton, not wanting to know me because of my sexuality, but I had managed to complete my high school education with high grades.

It’s the early 1950’s in Australia and Ryan Seaton has a dark secret. At twelve years old he’s discovered he’s a homosexual and in that decade being gay could be fatal. Added to that, his mother uses emotional blackmail, making his home-life miserable. Then his best mate confides he’s also gay, but the combined hostility of society, religion and the law, ensures that any relief is short-lived. Tragedy follows.

The decade known as the 1950’s was word-wide, the worst time to be gay, but out of the depths of despair a new period of enlightenment began. This is the story of some young souls living through and surmounting that awful decade.
