Devon McGee meets Colin Wentworth and begins working with him. Colin is a puzzle. Devon is trusted immediately and given a task to restore Colin's Ancestral home. Then puzzles begin to cause Devon to wonder about his employer. Colin has a past and Devon is and was not prepared for what he finds out.

Brian and Lanny are back from their European adventure and settle into an apartment of their own. Marco leaves for his own adventure to exhibit his art in London and Paris, leaving Marty and the twins Samuel and Benjamin to fend for themselves.

This introduces Jake, the narrator of Moorpark Palms, a funny book of stories about a small Los Angeles apartment building in the 1990s. Jake & Conor is a light little romance, once intertwined with the longer book. I broke it out because it distracted from the apartment stories.

Kian spills his strawberry milkshake on Daven at a Mall Food Court. Daven is caught between irritation and fear when Kian follows him to the men's bathroom. In mere minutes, Dr. Daven Noland meets Kian Raja, an Assassin with a warped sense of humor, and a valid contract with Daven's name.

Brian and Lanny cross Europe on a low-budget trek. In the process their respect and affection grows.

Tracy lives with his brother Callen, they moved to Florida for his brothers promotion and have come into contact with Callen's best friend from high school Alex or Chewy to most people who was a jerk, but just maybe he's changed.
