This is the continuing story of Dr James Shaw and his two nephews Reid and Toby Templeton, as they now live permanently in the township of Dundee Beach, Northern Territory.

There they have a mixed life of doing cruises down the West Coast for half a year and living in Dundee the rest of the time. We also see the return of some past friends and the arrival of new relatives of the crew.

Having recently lost his father from a mining accident in Northern Western Australia, twelve year old Hunter Mitchell along with his much younger brother Fraser learnt from their mother, that we may be moving to her ancestral home of the Cook Islands, in the central Pacific. This meant that Hunter would be leaving his good friends, especially his best friend Jacob, who along with his father and older brother, took me on a sailing trip onboard a racing trimaran, to help me stop thinking of the loss of my father, and had an awesome time.

This story is one of a journey through life.

A boy discovers his homosexuality. He condemns himself for an attempted seduction of a more youthful friend. He seriously risks dying when he decides to take drugs.

The social environments described are those of Italy in the 70s.

This boy’s life is pervaded with love, lessons, hardships, deaths, and special moments. The road is not pleasant.

It is a perilous journey that deals with drug use, repentance, prostitution, pain, forgiveness, and hopefully redemption.

From a run down warehouse into a place of safety

Derrick has recently left the comfort of his old school to attend a new prep school on the other side of town. He may not have their money, or their possessions, but once he finds the love of a boy he meets on the bus...he finds something much stronger.

Young Brian has recently found himself completely wrapped up in a new obsession, and it's all surrounding the super cute teen boy that has just moved into the neighborhood. He's been trying to catch a glimpse of him whenever he gets the chance, but had no way to actually meet him, up close and personal. However, once the Spring rolls around, the neighborhood's annual block party is certain to bring him out of his hiding place, and give Brian the chance to finally mingle with his beautiful new crush. What happens next...is anybody's guess.

When fourteen-year-old Daniel and his mother are kicked out by his stepfather, they have to move to a housing estate in a different part of town, and Daniel has to change schools. He has a hard time making friends, and it only gets worse when one of his classmates takes a rather unhealthy interest in him. His only comfort, to his great surprise, turns out to be the last person he could have expected; the popular and gorgeous Michael Storm.

Even the best of friends can sometimes grow apart during their adolescent years. And it hurts Dylan even more when romantic feelings begin to blossom for the boy who you keep close to your heart. Or will he lose it all to the cutie who has seemingly captured his affections?

With a large family, and very little income, Edwin and Archie are sent to Australia to start a new life, with just some belongings, a small amount of stock, and a very small amount of money.

When the ship lands at Ceduna in South Australia, the brothers manage to buy a farm, some food, basic supplies, a horse and wagon, and they head off on their new life.

It’s the early 1950’s in Australia and Ryan Seaton has a dark secret. At twelve years old he’s discovered he’s a homosexual and in that decade being gay could be fatal. Added to that, his mother uses emotional blackmail, making his home-life miserable. Then his best mate confides he’s also gay, but the combined hostility of society, religion and the law, ensures that any relief is short-lived. Tragedy follows.

The decade known as the 1950’s was word-wide, the worst time to be gay, but out of the depths of despair a new period of enlightenment began. This is the story of some young souls living through and surmounting that awful decade.
