This "Gone From Daylight" spinoff ties directly into the storyline, so some spoilers may be included. As a duo of vampires come to Enzo for help, he sees an opportunity to gain a bit of leverage, and perhaps step up to the next social level in the vampire order. What is he hiding? And what is he looking to gain?

A spinoff of the "Gone From Daylight" vampire series (Reading the original is not necessary), this tale takes place in the old West. Deacon Porter is baffled by the recent murders in his small town. With his father being the Sherriff, it's up to him to solve the mystery of what's happening. However, when Deacon meets a teen boy like himself in the darkness, he experiences feelings that he never knew that he had before. But is this beautiful stranger the boy of Deacon's dreams? Or is it possible that he may be the monster that his father is hunting in the shadows of night?

This spinoff gives us a dark look at the mysterious Vampire Elders of Chicago. When a new threat arrives in darkness, possibly bringing madness and death along with it, the Elders must get to together to discuss an effective plan of action to deal with it. But will cooler heads prevail and can a peaceful solution be achieved? Or will fear and corruption lead them to a much deadlier option? The clock is ticking, and tough choices must be made before it's too late!
