Simple Creation Myth

A receptacle for my attempts at translating other poets’ work.

When Horus and his family leave the city of the Gods to travel up the Nile, Anubis resigns himself to being bored without the company of his oldest friend. He does not however plan on being awoken in the pitch black to discover that the sun has been accidentally sealed into a temple, and that he is the only one qualified to retrieve it. If only such quests were simple.

As nick faces the end of his life, he has to find a way to get rid of the clingy Filipino boy that won't leave him alone. One last cruel act and then he can die in peace.

Somesh was resigned, if not content, to live and die in the same place as his mother, working for meagre wages and whatever scraps of food he could squirrel away for himself. But after a fateful game of dice, he found himself whisked away to parts unknown.

Jay’s life changes drastically when he is wisked away from the world he is familiar with in Texas and lands in the very different environs of Portland, Oregon. He discovers a family and friends for the first time and he is going to have to deal with the good and the bad. Can he handle the change and can they handle him, because this time things are different?

Zane is in the closet with only his best friend knowing about his secret until someone new shows up. The only problem is that this person brings his problems with him and has Zane help him. Will they come out unscathed in the end?

A despairing novelist encounters a mystery.

Ignoring his dad’s sermon, a new sensation gripped him. He had the uncanny perception of someone watching him. Initially he just shrugged the sensation aside, but it just grew more persistent. Eventually he looked about until . . . . . . eyes, eyes watching me, beautiful brown eyes. My god he’s looking straight at me. He . . . he’s beautiful . . . those lips . . . cupids bow, so, so kissable . . . he, he has the face of an angel . . . oh my god . . .

The angel winked.
