My stories are born from my deepest emotions, bubbling to the surface when they demand to be released. The subjects I pursue are as varied as my interests, and I love to explore different genres. Some of my work is dark, some of it is light-hearted, but I never write the same story twice.

My writing explores the human experience and focuses on characters finding their way. It is often reflective or descriptive of the emotional, spiritual, and profound discovered in life’s moments. I love words that carry unexpected insight; Contrasting or seemingly dissimilar ideas that suddenly align in moments of epiphany.

Stories are based on past or present images that provoke a story waiting to be told. Warning: there is a large dose of British humour around.

Born in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, a suburb of Amsterdam, Netherlands. American dad, Nederlands mom. Moved to The States in 1976, and have had mixed feelings about it since. Love the US, still feel Dutch, try to combine both.

While most of Graeme's stories are drama or romance, amongst his many tales you can find a little bit of everything, including comedy and science fiction. Often these come in a different point of view: from the father or brother of a gay son, the mother of a suicide, through the guy who learns his friend is gay. The narrator can also range from a character who may or may not be insane to an alien observing a human relationship, so he has something for everyone!

A proud father of four, Headstall's personal journey has been a series of twists and turns, and his stories often reflect his experiences. He is an unapologetic romantic who writes from the heart. You will find this in his fiction and his poetry. They are both emotionally driven, and men who aren’t afraid of their feelings often populate his work.
