GA Writing Prompts - 9. # 14 Eschaton (Inflamed)

Eschaton (Inflamed)

The meeting was still going on, but Falael had left the council hall. He stood outside, looking into the darkness. He was confused. His thoughts were running. He was entirely absorbed in the recent event. Falael tried to cool down. He felt heated, he felt uncomfortable, and he felt nervous at the same time.

They had only exchanged a few words, polite words without deeper meaning. Falael did not dwell on them. He rather dwelled on the melody of the words and he thought of the voice of the one who had spoken. His voice was soft and yet masculine and it had sent shivers down Falael’s spine. Falael found that the melody of the words had sounded like a perfect and harmonic tune. Falael’s cheeks blushed again. He was barely able to breathe.

A slight breeze touched Falael’s face. Falael raised his eyes and looked at the sky. It was black with a hint of violet. Falael gazed into the night for another moment or two. He calmed down. He finally relaxed. The clouds disappeared. The moon shed a faint light. Falael was able to see more clearly. A smile appeared on his lips.

"He must think I’m dumb," he said in a low voice to himself. "But at least I now know his name. "Tanyl," he said. "The name fits him well."

Falael straightened and, feeling reassured, he went back into the grand council hall.
