I found a cute story today called "Paper Walls", by KD, a new author here at GA. The story was first post back in early fall, but it just caught my eye today. I read the first 11 posted chapters and I fell in love with it. It centers around a fifteen year old adopted football prodigy from Russia whose adopted dad is a coaching legend of Texas High Football, himself. KD does an awesome job of bringing his characters alive and leaves you wanting more. If fact, the chapters could be longer, but KD doesn't short change you in the content department. I don't do this too often, but I highly recommend this story to all.

I've begun work on a new story, a Sci-Fi/Fantasy story. I won't begin posting until it's completed, beta read, and edited. Word of caution, it could take a while. In the mean time, I will continue to develop The Field of Love and at some point, merge it into Trials and Tribulations. I hope I don't disappoint. Billy

I just published the first chapter of my first story ever. It's a coming out, coming of age story about the trials and tribulations of Andy Collins and friends as he confronts his sexual orientation in a small mining town of Pine Hills nestled away in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. I would love for you to give it a read and let me know if you liked the chapter and would like for me to continue the story. I know I will make mistakes, but hopefully I will learn from them and not repeat the same ones If you liked it, please remember to click on the "like it" on the bottom right of the chapter. Consider it like buying me a drink for a job well done or a pat on the back. I will also offer a poll for your use if you if you're into polls Below is a link to the story. Trials and Tribulations

I've started a new story, 'The Field of Love'. My plan is to post a new chapter once a week. It's a story about a fifteen year old boy finding acceptance and love on a baseball field. I've started a forum for the story and I hope you will leave a review on the story so I can learn from you, the reader. It's my intention to give you the best story I can. Below is the links to the proper forum. The Field of Love Forum for The Field of Love

Comicality has been posting a series of Gay short films recently and I for one have thoroughly enjoyed them. In my meandering around You-tube I came across this one I thought I'd share. I hope you enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60yDIrGvQog Let me know what you think! True/Lenny

Hey guys, seeing as Gemini is going slow, and I needed a break to get some new inspiration, I decided to translate one of my favorite stories to English. A huge thanks to Amon, the author of "Die Maschine", for giving me permission! And let's not forget MrM, LillyLee and Nostic, who have helped me make this work. Thank you! This is the bittersweet tale of a German teenager's coming of age. When I was translating this story, I quickly realized I was hitting my limits. Some things just cannot be transferred from one language to another without loss. Instead of trying to rewrite the the whole story, I decided to in doubt go with Amon's way to express things. Therefore at times (or maybe all the time), this story might seem like a foreigner is narrating it. I quite like how it turned out and I hope rather than irritate, it will add to the story. This is the place to discuss the story, but also to ask questions about the background or in case you didn't understand anything (be it language or story related). Sadly, the original chapters are short-ish for GA standards. I will try to make up for it with more frequent posts. Have fun! Sammy [sharedmedia=stories:stories:5261]

Wanted to start an open discussion about the story, in case anyone wanted to talk about it. I also wanted to thank everyone for the fantastic comments and support that I've received so far. [sharedmedia=stories:stories:5199] And here's my cat tax, if you're into that sort of thing:

For discussion of themes and topics. The book can be found here: https://www.gayauthors.org/story/dodger/thecockneycanuck After 47 chapters and lots of drama I think it's time this story has a discussion topic where readers can interact with the author and each other. There are certainly plenty of situations, characters and emotions to bring up, and of course most of all Robbie the Cockney Canuck. Dodger has kindly given me permission to start this thread and has promised to be part of the discussion, so now is your chance to ask questions and make comments. I'm sure we'll have fun.

Jonas Marks is your average teenager. He just graduated from high school and is awaiting a chance to go to college in the fall. The only problem is the fact he is gay, and made the huge mistake of coming out to his homophobic father. When he is thrown out of his house and ends up living on his friend Jenny's couch, Jonas knows the time has come to alter his life. However, in trying to get his life back on track he takes a job at Kroger's, a place well known for the rich items they sell. The problem is Jonas' new boss isn't like anyone else, in fact, he isn't completely human. Jonas' life has taken a strange turn and before it is over his life will never be the same again. Special thanks go to Andy (better known to most as Quonos10) - who said the Anthology piece really needed to become a full story and stepped in as the beta to make sure it happened, and to Frostina - who as usual has stepped in to prevent me from screwing this up as she edits it for me.

Hi guys, So basically, I've just finished Desert Dropping this second time round and I first read it back a couple years ago and never got to partake in any of the discussions. So hopefully I'm not too late. Besides, after a couple years, it was like reading it for the first time again. Anyways, can I just ask if anyone felt as frustrated as I was with Rory in the first few chapters. I basically had to walk away from my laptop before I did anything stupid. I was just waiting for him to get his heartbroken by Aaron and I was just annoyed with him up till then. I really expected Luke and Rory to get together too. I feel so sorry for Luke throughout though I really liked Seth's character and his relationship with Rory. Just my 2 cents worth.

[sharedmedia=stories:stories:4239] I'm trying something new, a very tongue-in-cheek, first person coming of age story filled with what I hope are witty comments. One view commented that its a dense read. I blame my leading character for that. He spares no one his flamboyance. Please give it a read. There are more chapters in the works, but I'm interested in how the story, as it is, is received. Thanks,

Hey everybody--wanted to create a discussion forum for my new story, "The Best Four Years of Adam Becker." Adam Becker wants out. Out of the shadow of his popular big brother, out from his stifling D.C. prep school, out from the political spotlight of his high-ranking Republican father. So when he heads off on his own to college in New Orleans, one year post-Katrina, he gets more than he bargained for: four years of friendship, love, secrets, hurricanes, and debauchery--his best four years yet. I started writing this story about two years ago. I was going through a difficult breakup--my boyfriend had moved to New York, and I had no intention of leaving D.C. I was also leaving my first job out of college, at a political nonprofit, and I intended to write a novel about my experiences in the 2012 election cycle. But I couldn't get past the first chapter. And, after writing the same iteration of the same opening scene over and over again, I figured I'd rewind a bit--and write a fictional series loosely based on my memories from college, and what was going on in my life. I never intended anyone to read this: this was my way of creating on on-ramp to the eventual novel, sharpening my skills, and getting words on a page. I've written the story through the beginning of senior year--but over the last six months or so, I felt my energy beginning to wane. So I figured I would edit it, chapter by chapter, and put it online here--find an audience, and feel like I'm writing for someone, rather than into the abyss. So far, no one's read this but me--even my college friends, who provided a lot of character and plot inspiration, have read only brief excerpts--but I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading!

Hello everybody! For all of you who don't know me yet, I'm A.D. Anyhoozles (lol), it seems to be a common thing to create threads for stories on GA, most notably those that are doing well (and I'd like to think RIMH is ). So, I thought I'd create my own little thread for this story. For those of you that have taken the time to read, rate, and review already, thank you so much! I appreciate all of the kind words and support! For those of you that haven't done any of the aforementioned, feel free! All of your support keeps me motivated to write more! See, we're working as a team on RIMH. Also, I'd like to know what some of you are thinking so far! What do you think will come from some of the odd bits of foreshadowing I've dropped around? Who do you think the note is really from? Will Eden come around and stop being mad at Dylan? Has Denika messed up Dylan's chances with Tanis with her crazy plan, or made them better? I'd love to hear! Hope everyone is well~ A.D. (Edit) Description of the story (should probably include that!): Rooted in My Heart is a tale about a boy's first love, and the struggles he goes through to try and win him over. Dylan not only has to worry about his crush, but also a stressful home-life involving an alcoholic father. When those issues don't seem to be enough, Dylan finds himself in a tricky situation with a girl... and a love letter. Eventually, it all comes to head in a twist filled with pain, suffering, loss, lies, and deceit, but maybe... love will find it's way in too.
