What? Where? When? Why? Who?

By the power vested in my fingietips and the GA blog squad, it is my great pleasure to announce the revival for a site-favorite blog game...

Author Guess Who?

First things first! A monumental thank you goes to @Renee Stevens for starting this whole thing back in 2019. For several of our online community, we loved getting to know our fellow writers in a fun and quirky way. With that said, we're keeping this proverbial gravy train going, even for the weirdos, like me, that don't like gravy. I know, I feel bad for admitting it. But that's the point of this little blog game: discover new facts about our fellow authors, then guess who it could be!

Seeing how this is the introductory article, it's time to give the low-down on how this game works. I'll break it down the only way I know how... by asking questions!

***What?***

Author Guess Who? is a game blog featured on Gay Authors with two posts a month-- one providing responses to questions from a mystery author, with the other revealing who our featured writer is.

***Where?***

Right here on the Gay Authors News Blog!

***When?***

The interview questions and responses will post on the 2nd Thursday of every month. The author reveal will post on the 4th Thursday, so mark your calendars!

***Why?***

Author Guess Who? is a great way to promote yourself as an author in our community, as well as let everyone know who you are as a person. Some of the questions are silly, like whether you prefer crunchy or creamy peanut butter. Some are thought-provoking, such as why you started writing. This blog game is fun, but it also builds our community.

***Who?***

You! The authors here are this site's muse. No need to nominate or suggest who answers these questions. Put yourself out there! Just PM me if you'd like to be featured. In the reveal post, you get to choose up to three of your stories to be linked for the readers to check out your work. To be featured on the site AND have fun in the process? I wish door-to-door salesmen could be this productive and entertaining.

If this tickled your fancy, then shoot me a PM with your expressed interest. I'll follow up shortly with a list of ten or so questions. And don't forget to check out all of the previous editions of Author Guess Who? here.

Wait… what other gravy is there?

As my milk allergy worsens, I have major trouble having sausage gravy with significant milk content.  When I was a kid, Mother fixed liver gravy once in a while.  Don't go there.  It's AWFUL.  Not fond of any fish gravy I have tried.  Turkey gravy depends on what ingredients are added.  In the types of gravy I make, I use ZERO milk.

@astone2292, I hope many authors message you and volunteer.

Proper gravy does not contain milk of any description, it contains stock made from the meat it accompanies.

Exactly.  But many restaurants have milk in their sausage gravy, at least in my area.  UGH!

@astone2292, form the interest this is generating, one of your author questions could be -- "What are your favorite types of gravy, and your least favorite types of gravy?"   LOL.

Sausage gravy is typically cream-based, but other gravies should be  made with a roux of flour and water.  At least that's how I've always made them. Maybe commercial gravies add dairy.
