Jack Scribe
Here's a rather odd story concerning a Vatican priest who was busted: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iLoAlia...najeZwD8S91CO80. Jack

pitchan
One word...Oh Christ (well ok actually two) But seriously. Thats...just irritating the hell out of me. I can't even find the words to express how disgusted I am at his behaviour.
Conner
Another priest caught with his hand in the cookie jar. I can't wait for the cover-up to be released. So he's either gay or a psychoanalyst with absolutely no professional ethics whatsoever. Once again, it's time for the Vatican Shuffle! Adrian Michaels
Yeah, even if he was anaylzing patients... there's still something way unethical about that. It's not like he's doing a field study... Unless of course he WAS doing a field study, which is just silly. Shouldn't the church have better things to do? Jack Scribe
Shouldn't the church have better things to do? In Southern California, the Church has doled out almost $900,000,000 settlement money to abused victims. I understand the Los Angeles Diocese is selling land to come up with the dough. Hylas
I'm atheistic in my worst days and agnostic in my best, but I still say the church has always been the place to run for gays who can't accept what they are. I've got a classmate who everyone thought was gay... and y'know what? he joined a seminary after high school. he dropped out, tho, so I still have hopes he'll accept himself, IF he is gay. I think joining the church JUST BECAUSE you are gay is kinda stupid. It's like admitting to yourself that the fact that you are gay is a sin in itself and can only be forgiven through a lifetime of prayer and celibacy?! o.O Anyway, it's their choice. But, yeah, you get people like this. Gay priests who lapse and commit things like the one in the news. It's not ALL priests tho, but they have their bad seeds. AFriendlyFace
In the Repubblica interview, Stenico said he had met with the young man and pretended to talk about homosexuality "to better understand this mysterious and faraway world which, by the fault of a few people — among them some priests — is doing so much harm to the Church. I wonder how one "pretends" to talk about anything. Let's hope he accepts himself even if he isn't Growing up in Catholic school I had quite a few very religious, obviously gay classmates myself. There does seem to be a strong correlation. It reminds me of a quote by a famous lesbian (can't remember which one unfortunately ) "For a long time I thought I wanted to be a nun, then I realized that what I really wanted to be was a lesbian." Guest RettaMichaels
If their mouths would stop opening when they hit their knees, it'd help. It must be a link between the two with them.
