Masked Monkey Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 (edited) So with Dan and Trebs being affianced and all, do we refer to them as Robniel or Danbert? I think Danbert rolls off the tongue better, but it sounds too 'inbred' (even for Nor. Cal. ), although some of you Southerners may disagree (being experts and all) Just one of those things that has been bothering me for awhile :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal Edit: I apologize in advance for anyone who is offended by my rhetorical use of stereotype as a cheap joke. Such behavior is part and parcel of my personality, and not intended to malign anyone who doesn't deserve it based on individual behavior (behaviour, for the American impaired). RTJ Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Robniel sounds more high class. You're right Danbert sounds like a rednecks name
Trebs Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Robneil? It sounds like what comes out when you play the recording backwards. How about Ran? Sounds like a Soap opera character. Big, strapping, hunky guy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like Ran Hmm - but that would be paired with Dob? Dobert? Back to the drawing board it sounds like...

Back to the drawing board it sounds like... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> we would use Ran to describe both of you in the singular. You also have my permission, as Emperor, to flog anyone who uses Dobert or Dob (except for me). :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal
EMoe57 Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 So with Dan and Trebs being affianced and all, do we refer to them as Robniel or DanbertWouldn't Danbert make him a member of Scott Adams' comic strip, "Dilbert"? You know, with Dogbert, Catbert and Ratbert... And while we are on the subject, it MUST be Spring! Let me officially proclaim my happiness and joy for Dan and Robert. I think its especially wonderful they were brought together by GA and Dan's awesome writing talents. Here's hoping it is a contagious condition as I too embark on that oh-so-perilous journey - the one where two middle-aged men test, grapple and probe for that elusive quality of relationship compatibility (if this sentence had you thinking about sex for a bit, then mentally-speaking you are my kind of guy but if you haven't learned that a relationship is way more than sex, then you've got a long road ahead of you...). I had to find something to do with my nights while awaiting the next chapter to edit *hint, hint*
Site Administrator Myr Posted June 18, 2005 Site Administrator Posted June 18, 2005 I object to Danbert, as it is too close to my hero, Dilbert.
dkstories Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 Considering Robert objected to nearly every guy Manuel and I pointed out this weekend, using the phrase "But he's a Neanderthal!", I'd say that Danderthal's might work.
