I love Nick's stories, particularly Jarred and Philip, et al.

 

However, on my computers the blue background is too dark to read the story. My solution has been to select the page (Ctrl + A) so that the text is white. Is there a setting somewhere that I can set to change the background or the text color?

 

Am I the only one to experience this problem?

I opened a chapter in each of the 3 stories and I get a white background with black font. You could copy and paste it into Word/Works then read then delete it if it's easier for you. To me, it's hard (too bright) reading on a white background. I asked him if I could print one of the stories so I could read it while at the pool and was granted permission. You could try and contact him and ask if you could do the same or paste it to Word. Good luck.

When I checked some of the chapters, I got a blue background. That is the default color for Nick site and it carries thru to all pages. I checked using both IE and FireFox.

 

Something you can check would be your screen resolution settings.

First off, Ambiguoustwo, thank you so very much for reading my writing and for the nice compliment. I really appreciate it. Second off, to address what Rush suggested, please feel free to print a copy if you'd like to. Or, if it would be easier for you, you can copy the chapters that are giving you trouble and paste them to a new word document. I really don't mind, as long as nobody posts my work somewhere else.

 

As for the page colors, I was on a blue kick back in 2006 when the site was redesigned. Since then, I've seen the trouble with such a dark blue. The good news is, there's a site redesign in the near future, and I'll definitely pick a much friendlier page color and font design/size.
