This chapter here really was back to the heart of the story- I LOVED Brad learning more about his biological father.

And I loved them kissing each other after seeing Rent. I've only been to NYC once, and the memory of that amazing city is just seared into my brain. Times Square/Broadway are just awesome!

My one and only trip to NYC was in 1995, before the 9 11. I remember how big the WTC was. It was great to see all the places I had seen in Movies and TV for real. The things that surprised me the most were how clean, safe and friendly the city was and how small Manhatten was. All those people and neighorhoods all on this small island. Even though the cab drivers were crazy the average New Yorker was friendly and helpful, really nice people. I am hoping to return this year for the anniversary. NYC is one of the great cities in the world. As for Robbie and Brad's kiss just another reason to visit. One of the reasons I started reading the saga was I knew many of the places in which it was set, Ohio, Chicago, Northern California, L A. It only makes it more real. Mark does a great job describing them, he must be a world traveler. Which is great for us. Thanks again for all the great times in 2010. I'm sure 2011 will be only better.

51 does have a great deal of depth and movement.....a question, when Steph left the room 'flushed', did he blow another old guy for a deal??? Reminds me of a land deal from oh so long ago!

Thanks for getting us theses Chapters as 'Holiday Treats'!

As a Belvideraian, will we get a chance to see how the brewing French/English/Spanish was is progressing? Don't want to slow down the Millennial-Fest, but do miss our dear captain....

I've been working hard on Millennium, trying to finish that one up. Then I'm going to go back and take care of George. I'm having a hard time right now writing two stories at once...in the past, it hasn't been an issue, but it has been lately, probably just because I've been so busy.

I unfortunately didn't get to see pre-9/11 New York...I came there in June 2002. I saw Patrick Wilson in Oklahoma- he was great in it! I had a chance to see Rent, but I chose not to so I could hang out with some friends who were playing Lazer Tag. ( I was in 9th grade. Give me a break.) The Times Square McDonald's with the two stories was an interesting experience, LOL.

Thanks Mark for the update. The stories you present to us are amazing in their depth and creativity. Also, who could complain about how often we are treated to new chapters for you provide your fans with prodigious and quality output. Just wanted to let you know that George is missed, but Millennium is fascinating. It seems like we are reving up again for some fast-paced action!

Thanks again.

Oh yay :2thumbs: I've been really slow figuring out there were new chapters lately, because of that weird thing that's going on on the GA front page where the new story announcements are... but I seem to be caught up now.

I really liked Brad remembering that he met his dad and finding out that his dad did care about him. What a sad situation for his dad not being able to take care of little Brad the way he would have wanted to (but nothing uncommon, unfortunately).

And I have to say, my all time favorite CAp character - Stef - just rocks. :music:

So happy to be caught up! I feel like all the updates for the stories I'm following have gotten buried under the new GA Stories announcements.

I really liked the flashback scene and getting to know more about Brad's bio-dad.

Also I love hearing good things about my beloved little city, New York! Having lived here all my life I can't even imagine only seeing it once but I'm happy you guys left with good impressions! :D New Yorkers get a bad rep but most are really friendly, helpful people who are, above all, completely accepting. Nobody even bats an eye at PDA--gay, straight, or otherwise.

Stef is fun to write. I think Brad needed some closure on his bio-dad.

That's been my experience with New Yorkers as well.

I could totally see JJ as a future New Yorker. He'd love it- especially 5th Avenue.

This story has been in a "great space" for the last several chapters and I'm just loving it. The highlight for me is Brad and Robbie and how engaged and committed they are in their relationship. It's like neither of them can wait to do something surprising and fantastic for the other.

The other highlight is all the high finance stuff. Needless to say, I'm hoping Brad and Stef pull this off. I know it's going to get tense, but I'm dying for the moment when Alex realizes she's been had and then self-implodes on the spot...or maybe Brad will pour a bucket of water on her and she'll do the Wicked Witch of the West thing, "I'm melting, I'm melting!" Can't wait! :2thumbs:

That last scene with Brad remembering his only meeting with his bio-dad...well, that was just a great scene.

I loved the scene with them at Johnny Rockets. We used to have one in Delaware, but that closed up shop. There's this really cool resturant they should check out- it's called Windows on the World. It's a resturant that gives great views of the city and makes amazing cocktails, amazing.

And if they go down, on the same complex there's this nice little shopping mall.

Actually, it wasn't Johnny Rockets. The prototype was Ellen's Stardust Diner.

*shrugs* Close enough.

I remember back in the 90's there used to be all these 50's nostalgia resturants. Kinda died out- although there is a 1980's nostalgia bar in my area. It's a dive, but fun.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see Alex's reaction to seeing Brad in his father's uniform. Talk about seeing a ghost. Not that it's likely he would, but it would still be fun to see.

Enjoyed Chapter 52, it was nice finding out more about Brad's Bio-Dad... It is easy to see how the trauma that followed the appearance of his Bio-Dad caused him to block out the visit. The only good thing that Brad's mother ever did for him was to take him to JP and Isidore's before she killed herself. She was at least lucid enough to know that he would always be safe and loved there; some part of her must have cared enought to want him to be safe...

The chapter still is not showing everywhere, if you don't follow the link it is hard to find. Hope that Gay Authors completes there changes and it becomes easier to use...

Hmmm, since Brad's bio-dad was kind of a hound dog, I wonder if there are any other half-brothers or sisters out there. If they were told their bio-dad was dead, they would have had no reason to seek out his family really. But if all this drama between Auntie Alex and Brad comes out in the gossip columns, they might possibly seek Brad out. It's a long shot, but it could happen. Sorry I'm really bored right now, and this is where my mind wandered.

It isn't posted on my page, but that's because I posted it on GA Stories instead. I did that so I could post it faster. Now if you want to wait longer....Posted Image

Like you, though, I'm frustrated by the fact that it's much harder for me to direct readers to stories/announcements. As I mentioned before, though, this is just a transition phase. Let's see what it looks like when it's done.

My mind wanders like that too. It's entirely possible that there are others out there, and they could feasibly surface in the future, but at this point, I don't have anything planned. Posted Image At this point.Posted Image

Mark :worship: , so what is the new link to both the Cap series and my beloved Grainger? are the two existing sites just to be left as is? sorry if this was covered elsewhere - due to complex reasons I have been only an infrequent reader the last month or so.

As I mentioned elsewhere while the latest in teh CAP saga wasa great story the format sucked!! but if this is the only way we can get our sustenance, so be it!

Regards

Another way to get to my stories is to click on my profile. You'll notice tabs up there (Recent Status Updates is usually the one open). The one on the far right says "Stories", click on it. They're working on skins for us so we can keep our "look."

I'm sorry about the problems. I posted 53, but there's a bug in the new software that makes quote marks into gibberish. I tried to unpublish it so you guys wouldn't have to deal with that, but since there doesn't seem to be an immediate fix, we're stuck with it that way. In the meantime, if you'd prefer to read it at my Yahoo Group, you can find it here. Like I said before, there will be a few bugs along the way, but we'll work through them.

Chapter 54 is up at least on Mark's group and what a great chapter it is... I am really glad that some of the action is going to be moved back to Claremont; as screwed up as the town ended up being, I really believe some of the best of the earlier chapters took place there... Having some of the action move back there is like going full circle, JP et al couldn't wait to escape or move away but now their sense of noblesse oblige has kicked in and the have to come back and try to save the place; after all the family has some strong French roots and being tied to once past is very much apart of the French mindset.

I have to admit that the play in the " love den " actually sort of bored me, as well written as it was, this story is just so much more for me than about sex... Not saying that I don't enjoy the stories forays into that at times but....

I knew that we would have to bring Wade's parents back into the story orbit with the idea of working with a Defense contractor and can't wait to see how that is explored. Keep up the good work and can't wait for the next chapter....
