I know what inspires me to write - whether it's good or not is subjective.

Inspiration hits anytime of the day or night - even if I'm sound asleep. I'm a romantic and an old-fashioned sort of person so when I see people, especially strangers in public, being nice to each other, it can inspire cute little stories or long, detailed ones. Most of my writing focuses on relationships between people who do not necessarily have shared reasons, of any reason for that matter, for trying to have a good relationship. For example, the 20-year-old at the grocery store has no reason to go out of his way to be nice too, much less assist, an 85-year-old woman. But when he does, he enhances himself and both lives are better for it.

I often create stories as a way of expressing my pent-up emotions or to clarify my thinking. It often leads to a more relaxed, fluid type of story writing. I may be pissed off and begin a story in the middle of an epic medieval battle but after I settle down and no longer feel ticked off, the story may mutate to a dream that someone had while snoozing under a tree near the jousting ring at a local renaissance fair. His boyfriend then wakes him by gently rubbing some beer on the lips of the snoozer before kissing him.

My way of inspiration is people :)

I look at people and i think of stories :) Some stories are created like that or some are just out of the blue. I just let creativity take me.

Another thing that inspires me is 'Fact Searching', I think of a story idea (eg Ancient Prophesy) and then i research LOTS about said prophesy and then i'll either make it into an individual story or i'll add it in to an existing one (for example my Trust me... Series :))

Hope this helped :)

Well, I don't know about good stories, in my opinion that description is relative. But just about anything and everything inspires me. A recent short story was entirely inspired by me taking off my sunglasses on a bus. Another one was inspired by something someone said. Enigma was partially inspired by the place my ex worked and some things he told me about the people there... and partly by Lugh's story Forever Boy (he will spank me if he finds out i didn't say that... come to think about it... forget I mentioned it :) )

For me it's quite often photographs, once an article in a photog magazine. Sometimes it just comes to me. Twice I've thought of stories in the shower, don't ask me why, neither story had nekkid people or sex in them so no, it wasn't due to fun stuff. :P Sometimes I'll just sit down and open a blank doc and see what comes out to fill the page. It varies. I'm not much on people watching so I don't get my ideas from that but I think just by observing the world around us we can find all sorts of inspiration. You just have to pay attention to what your brain is thinking and always try to have a pen and notepad around you to jot down ideas.
