rknapp Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 You tricked me.... Hah, I read the blog first and have been refreshing since last night, so I'm one step ahead of her . Now if I could just be one step ahead of Myr, then 13 would be at my fingertips.... Well I'm taking Nates proven plan of sleeping for a test drive... maybe a short nap

I was invited to go out tonight to the movies with a good lady friend... but she hasn't called back to make plans (she called while she was a football game at West Point, so I couldn't hear her worth a damn)... MYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyyrrrrrrrrrr! Lmao.
Site Administrator Myr Posted November 20, 2005 Site Administrator Posted November 20, 2005 Sorry for the delay. My computer is getting wiped at the moment. http://domluka.gayauthors.org/desert/desert-dropping-13.php
Bardeara Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Dom, I hate you. No I love you... I hate you, I love you... I think I love and hate you.. yeah that is it. How dare you leave it at that wonderful moment. Dom great chapter, thanks for posting it so quickly. :2thumbs; Your the best, I think your a great writer, I just hate that you know just how to twist us all up inside. Can't wait for number 14. See you around dude.
Tim the Traveller Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 another fine chapter from dom --i'm just worried what this is going to do to us all--this constant fix can't last forever and the withdrawl is going to be nasty :nuke: when it happens!!!
rknapp Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 And when it happens, it's going to be after another really big cliffhanger, just like the first time DD went on hiatus.
AFriendlyFace Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 (edited) Ok so it seems like I'm liking Aaron less and less with each chapter. I still think the poor kid's got a lot of issues and personal stuff going on, which might mitigate some of his bad behavior, but the fact is it looked like he really used and manipulated Rory in that last chapter. I think Rory's experiencing the "will you still respect me in the morning?" feeling, and sadly it rather looks like the answer is "no". I feel sorry for Aaron with his family life, but it was utterly tactless to bring Rory to Seth's, and how can you say "we'll take things slow" then have the guy flat on his back with your hands in his pants? I'm afraid Aaron does look like something of a playa to me now. I still want to seem him find some kind of redemption, but poor Rory's better off with someone (Luke) else. LOL ok so maybe I'm resigning my position as an Aaron supporter, but I'll still come to his defense if you guys get too hard on him As for Seth,,,well I'm liking him less and less with each chapter too, though I'm also willing to believe he's got alot of stuff to deal with too. Now as for Rory, well he was just way too "easy" in this chapter, but I really got the impression he was manipulated and seduced, so maybe it's not ALL his fault, he is inexperienced and niave after all. On the other hand you have to love that glass breaking incident. That was just priceless! "Oops" Then to follow it up by suggesting Seth get to work cleaning the mess up! I mean how ballsy is that? Making a mess, creating a scene, and then suggesting to your host, whose property you've just damaged, that they'd better get to work cleaning it up! Of course Seth totally had it coming! Anyway at this point I kinda wish Rory would just tell Luke everything, break up with Aaron (if they're even going out yet), and start seeing Luke. But of course I doubt it will be that simple. oh yeah one more thing. What's with the italics? Took me a little while to get used to it, but I guess it's not bad. Great chapter by the way Dom! NaperVic Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 (edited) another fine chapter from dom --i'm just worried what this is going to do to us all--this constant fix can't last forever and the withdrawl is going to be nasty :nuke: when it happens!!! Oh jon...It's that time of the year where Dom posts like crazy . If you look on Nifty and see how often Dom posted Chapters of TLW (starting 12/16/2004), you'll find that at times it gets even better that this. So enjoy the frequent postings!!!!!! Vic Ok so it seems like I'm liking Aaron less and less with each chapter. Eggcellent ! Edited November 20, 2005 by naper_vic
andy04 Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 This story frustrates me (but if it didn't, it wouldn't be a Dom Luka story, would it?) I personally can't stand Aaron. Never could. I liked Luke, however, from the very beginning. I was beyond pissed off when Aaron pulled that shit with Rory and Seth--though, seeing Aaron's home life, I sort of get it, I guess. The ending of this latest chapter gave me some hope, though. Are we going to see some more of Eddie and Jase in the next chapter, Dom? I missed them in this last chapter. And are there any more surprises about Rory's past that have yet to be unveiled? To me, that was one of the more compelling aspects of the story. I think that if Eddie or Jase or Rory's grandmother knows some more stuff that Rory doesn't know, it will add an urgency to the story and it will be more than just "Luke or Aaron?" (not that I'm not really intrigued by that.) Cheers and looking forward to number 14. Appreciate the frequent postings very much.
Ann Posted November 20, 2005 Author Posted November 20, 2005 I'm sorry, but please no more secrets! If this story is going to move it has to be forwards, not backwards. Rory is coming to terms with his new family situation. I don
Rabble_Rouser Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Vic... I'm shocked you commented on Aaron and didn't have a single reference of TLS!?!?! I thought Ch.13, especially what he did to Rory after saying they would take it slow, confirms that TLS tag is more than appropriate. I think that Aaron (TLS) is playing Rory for his own gratification only. I could be reading things into the story line that aren't there (trying to guess Dom's plot twists does that) makes me wonder two things: 1) Aaron's brother Cory may be blackmailing him but I'm thinking Aaron is holding something over Seth. It would explain as much as Seth still liking Aaron (TLS). 2) Luke is moody about Rory spending time with Aaron (TLS) not so much because of his past history with Aaron (TLS) and a concern for Rory but because Luke wants Rory and feels his flirting has been rejected by Rory who in reality is just clueless about what Luke was doing. What do you guys think? Plausible or am I just a victim of Dom's plot twists? Steve

I keep thinking back to when Luke mentioned that one of them would have to move upstairs. When he mentioned nothing could happen with him in Rory I got the feeling that he didn
Rocketcnj Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 (edited) I roared at my favorite line from Rory about Aaron"If I ignored the issues between us, it was still nice." duh..so take away the kissing and Aaron taking advantage of Rory..well, geez, you have a nice relationship. Rory, you have to be kidding me...stop hanging out with Aaron the slut and hang out with Luke and his friends..you belong with Luke.now that's a nice relationship!! I agree with Ann that Rory is young and naive.....however, Aaron, may be young but he is a Gaymes Gay Playa so far....and to me it appeared more a hook up...he had his way with Rory and then wanted nothing to with him and poor Rory felt like the slut..when in fact, Aaron was the slut...what happened to talking to see if they wanted to date, the basics of do they want to be just friends, boyfriends, etc.... Rory has never had a BF or even kissed a boy until Aaron, who, (sly Dom stuck in there that perhaps Aaron was a slut and that Luke told Rory about it...if you noticed Dom kept that part of what Luke told Rory..one could think it was the car incident..but my guess it involved infidelity on Aaron's part) so far, I see little redeeming qualities in Aaron....his home problems don't appear that bad....his teenage brother is as annoying as Aaron is to him..... beyond that I really do believe Luke likes Rory...I keep hoping that there is redemption for Aaron..but I keep reading chapters in which he uses Rory for sex, really appears to have a thing for Seth and Seth for him (I mean geez, get a clue, buy a vowel..taking Rory to Seth (your former BF) to talk to see if Rory wants to be your current BF and then admit that Aaron and Seth hang out all the time (I still say they are friends with benefits.....and Rory may or may not find that out) To me, Aaron is a player, and yes, I see him as sleezy, and a slut...now, maybe he comes around and I eat my words..but in a word, Aaron is a slut..it fits him well....and he uses his good looks, Gay Player ways to get his way...uses them and then off to the next one..and why did he and Seth break up (I don't buy the Seth needed a GF or wanted to try the str8 way...yeah, right.....I still say they fool around together...hence Seth's comments to Rory and the lies he told to Aaron about what he claims Rory said) Now, I have a question..if Rory has been lied to about everyone..and he hates Seth the liar..why didn't he tell the truth to Aaron about what Seth said...that grates on my nerves..but creates good drama. all in all, Dom..you are a genius:) um, one other thing....I think your editor needs to correct chapter headings....it says chapter 12 when you open it.... Michael Edited November 20, 2005 by Rocketcnj
Alan Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Now, I have a question..if Rory has been lied to about everyone..and he hates Seth the liar..why didn't he tell the truth to Aaron about what Seth said...that grates on my nerves..but creates good drama. Aaron TBS is really very good at painting himself as the victim. He even paints himself as victim of the car story because Luke isn't buying his apology. The Seth remarks are a really good way for Aaron to play victim and leave Rory scrambling for something to say. I'm not convinced Seth said anything at all to Aaron, but we'll see. Seth may just be being played along with everyone else. Rory may believe Aaron's story, but Rory has not proved all that good at challenging people. It's bad enough that Aaron exploits Rory's insecurity to get into his pants. It's worse that Aaron exploit's Rory's isolation to paint himself as Rory's only friend. The last scene with Rory and Luke may be the most evil cliffhanger I've ever read.
rknapp Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Hmm, I'm going to go on a limb and say the animosity Seth harbors for Rory is driven by Seths remaining attraction for Aaron. At the same time, Luke desperately wants Rory to stay away from Aaron, but refrains from doing so because he only believes it will hurt Rory. He might actually be torn on what to do, because either way Rory is in the unfortunate situation that no matter what the outcome is, he is going to be hurt. Unless of course he figures out what is going on early and cuts his losses on his own, before something terrible happens. But that's just my hypothesis, as we've yet to learn just what is happening inside Aaron's, Seth's, and Luke's heads... which unfortunately has the affect of leading the story nowhere, because that means that Rory also has no idea what it is going on. Now, I am a little confused on the ending, were Luke and Rory leaning into eachother? As in bodies touching, and would be a really cute picture if they fell asleep kind of situation? If they were, then I'm gonna jump another weak limb and suggest that maybe this is Luke's way of silently telling Rory that he has options, as far as love an companionship is concerned. Luke didn't seem particularly happy with the revelation that his roommate was chillin with the enemy, so to speak, so I wouldn't have expected him to do that otherwise. Damnit, I promised myself I wouldn't make a long post...
Bao Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 rory cant date luke... his cousin is dating rory's dad. thats like dating a soon to be relevtive or something.
Rocketcnj Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 rory cant date luke... his cousin is dating rory's dad. thats like dating a soon to be relevtive or something. Bao....Rory and Luke are not related by blood-so they can date each other. Jase is cousins with Luke and Eddie is Rory's Dad. Therefore, neither Rory nor Luke are related to each other by blood.
carmichael Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Plus, it's not like Rory is a product of Jase and Eddie. That's actually impossible, I think.
NaperVic Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 A THREEWAY!!!!! That's why Aaron(TLS) wanted to bring Rory over to Seth's house. Aaron (TLS) still hangs around Seth because they still mess around a bit. When Aaron(TLS) was privately speaking to Seth, he clued Seth in on his plan to seduce Rory and offered Seth a little action too. That's why Seth put some cologne on, he wanted in on the action. Seth was waiting for Aaron(TLS) to 'complete the sale' before he jumped in to help. After Rory dropped the glass and left, plans changed. Aaron(TLS) ran back in to tell Seth 'No dice, I'm going to work Rory a little more, maybe we'll have a 3-way another time. Go have fun with Angela.' Vic the Domaholic
Ramius Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I so want to climb inside my computer and punch Aaron's lights out. I still hold my view that Aaron is the spoilt kid that isn't use to getting no for an answer, and as for the pulling the lets go slow while reaching for Rory's zipper it seems any yes no matter what the question Aaron is taking as a green light. Rory seriously needs to wise up and stay as far away form Aaron as possible...of course if he did that then DD would become a very short story
