Ok, there's a story that I read a while ago and realllllllllllly want to read it again but I can't remember the name. I remember that it starts off with a guy at a costume party who ends up sleeping with this other guy that's there, but the guy leaves in the morning, leaving the first guy obsessing over him for like 4 years. The first guy goes on to become a cop, who ends up visiting a hospital for a case, where the dr he encounters ends up being the guy from the party all that time ago. Does anyone know this story??

Also, can anyone recommend any stories that have happy endings, a little romance, but not cheesey, that aren't highschool ones, something set in college or older?? Thanks!

On nifty, in the relationships section, I'd recommend both Jake's Hand and Two Distinct Divisions. Disenchanted, on DaBeagle.net, has a reasonably happy ending. Sara Bell's stuff, on crvboy, along with Brite Lite, and Michael Phillips (specifically City of Dreams and definitely Center Stage) are good.

DW Simon's stuff, on Literotica (http://english.literotica.com:81/stories/memberpage.php?uid=302990&page=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) :/ /http://english.literotica.com:81/st...e=submissions) is excellent.

Trolling through the Best of Nifty list at best-of-nifty.org and looking for things linking to the beginnings, relationships, or adult-friends section on nifty is a reasonably good bet too.

Mmmm, and on a quick troll myself, Construction Days (nifty, gay/beginnings/construction-days) is quite good.

"Billy and Danny" in the college section of Nifty is very romantic and has happy endings. I don't think it's cheesy, and it has a lot of great family values contrasted with some crappy ones.

It starts off when they are in college and goes forward.

The archive here is good, but there's lots of highschool stories and I was looking for some that were a little older, if that makes sense.

Ok, so I know this thread was dead a long time ago, but I have to revive it to recommend a story that I finally found and reread again after much searching.

The story is Reclaiming Austin by Billy and it's posted on superdrewby and its even better than I remembered it being. Here's the link:

It takes place in a college / post college setting, and is kind of Human Condition-esque. I think my favorite thing about it is the dialogue. There are some darker elements to the plot, but most of it is on the lighter, sweeter side.

Anyways, BoyNeedsTherapy, if you were still looking for something that fits your criteria with a happy ending, here's another suggestion.

P.S. One of the major characters is a baseball player...and I think there is some mention of getting him out of the uniform at one point...should certain people be in to that kind of thing. ;)

A new chapter of reclaiming Austin has just been posted, in case anyone is interested (yay!)

For stories with a little bit older characters (also my cup of tea, I already did highschool, thanks, once was enough) I like crvboy.com and mygaystories.com

Also the nifty relationships and begingings catagories are usually a little more mature.

Oh, and try the rainbow community writing project too :)

I wonder who Sparrow is referring to?

LOL. I have no idea.

I know, I was so suprised when I saw that this morning, because it hadn't been updated in more than a year, and then I finally find it again and the next morning it's been updated. I think the author must have psychic powers. Or maybe I do. :o

I realized when I looked at it that I'd read it before...and enjoyed it even though it wasn't finished. Then again, well...let's not get into unfinished stories...at least not until I finish a few of mine :)
