One does not 'have' to stay within the normal chapter length limits if you are going OVER... its only if you are UNDER that one wants to keep to such guidelines!

 

Well, I need to point out that all MW books have just above 100K words excl. epilogue and exactly 17 chapters. And as I already get protests when something doesn't post on Saturday reliably like the Swiss train system, I shall not stretch my reader's comfort zone by suddenly having excessively long chapters ... 

... Unless payment is delivered ... Then forget the rules, everything goes ...

So who could 'officer' Falcon White be? He is described as being

 

A handsome young man in a white, police-branded T-shirt, red shorts and flip-flops stood there reprimanding the kids. He was innocently blond with friendly, light-brown eyes like those police puppies, a gentle face, but surprisingly muscled calves, all put into the ethereal glow of the warm afternoon sunlight.

.....

Colt nodded with satisfaction. One day he wanted to be like this man. Tall, handsome, strong, … or at least he wanted him as his friend.

So he is blond hair, light-brown eyes, muscled calves, white and young(18 to 30ish) in 1997. So he could be roughly 30-50ish at the time of MetaDeaths in 2015, 18 years later.

 

Is he human, wolf shifter or vampire?

  • Vampire
    • There is no mention of him being pale which is the 'dead' giveaway of someone being a vampire. There is no mention of oil/metal scents which Colt even noticed in Silensia when encountering 'Galina'. So it is less likely to be a vampire.
  • Wolf Shifter
    • Colt describes him as tall, handsome and strong. This leads me to think of him as a wolf.
    • Wouldn't the wolves of the Lubbock pack have smelled an unfamiliar wolf and reacted to him being present?
  • Human
    • He could be a very fit good looking human.

So in all likelyhood Falcon White is either Human or a Wolf Shifter. He isn't from the Lubbock Pack of Texas if he is a shifter.

 

So then who fits the bill of a 'young' in 1997, blond, light-brown eyes, strong, muscled calves and tall?

  • Colonel Lunn? He was 18 in 1977 so he is 38 but he is a shifter so could look younger. He is blond but we don't know what color eyes he has.
  • Brian's Father? Brian is blond so his father could be.
  • Isaac's Father? Isaac is blond so his father could be.
  • He can't be Sam or Gavin's father as they should both be dead in the Golden Chestnut Tree vs Winter Fir battle.
  • Warren's Father? Warren is blond so his father could be. His father was alive until Warren was 10 so he could have been there.
  • Colt's Father?
  • No Humans of sufficient age have been described to fit this.

 

I'm sure there is something or someone else I've missed/overlooked so what do the rest of you think? Who could Falcon White be?

OK so here is a break down on a lot of facts surrounding 'Galina'. I won't go into much hypothisis yet but lets get the ball rolling and say what you think is going on.

 

First break down the appearances and Aliases of 'Galina'

 

  • Male
    • Prompt Silensia - a young man with a bit of wild blond hair style and unhealthy pale skin. wears 19th centura russian military garb.
    • Nick - a lean guy in tight leather pants and a grey bandana to hold back his long black hair. too girlish face, much too long hair tied now into a ponytail, small hands and barely taller than Colt. Seemed he also needed a bit of sun, not an unusual occurrence for Northern Californians.an odd Cologne. a heavy wave of gasoline
    • Lätti Närhinen - Estonian a young, elegantly dressed blond man
    • 45 years, short dark hair
    • Balt - a small, delicate, pale man with too much gel in his blond hair. wore his pre-World War One Russian general outfit
      • There is no proof that Galina is Balt but I think they are the same.
  • Female
    • Galina - Looked like one of the Russian women seen on the internet: perfect skin, red lips, impossible thin waist and legs like a giraffe
    • Nicola - Student at Trent's college. she was quite a looker. I met her in college. Sexy French accent
    • Natasha - late 20s 'teacher' at a college.
  • No Gender Identification
    • Nikita - Short brown hair with hands small enough to be male or female.

 

Ok lets break down the actions of 'Galina'

 

  • 1997
    • Galina does something with Giovanni that gets them working together and results in the Golden Chestnut Tree and Winter Fir packs fighting and/or the Golden Chestnut Tree winning the fight.
  • 1998
    • Holidays in Silensia Poland
      • A thin, pale,  blond man who smells wrong approached Colt with promises of an xbox.
  • Between 2003 and 2008
    • Someone begins paying Mr Parker to inform on Colt's whereabouts
  • 2005
    • Galina gets Dr Cunningham to comit adultery and secretly video tapes it in Vienna
  • Sometime between 2006 and 2009
    • CE while in the marines as part of his Military Police duties works a serial killer case of someone killing young men and women around LA and San Diego
  • 2006
    • Adam tries to rape Colt after being paid by someone.
      • Is this Galina's doing? Were they trying to decide what wolf would form the Alpha of the Meta White Wolf's pack?
  • 2008
    • After Graduation
      • Trent had an affair at college with a 'superwoman' Nicola who paid him to have sex with Colt. If it resulted in them caught or not it would made Colt probably not leave Texas.
        • This would have most likely result in Colt staying in Texas keeping him away from the pack.
      • Colt runs away from Texas to California. Adam sees the activity and calls a mystery woman who comments about Colt not having the owl statue with him.
    • Fall/Winter
      • Colt attends some meetings of the LGBT group on campus. He meets Al outside of it who is still in HS but was suggested to attend a quit smoking meeting that is in the same place. Galina is there in the guise of a non identifying gender student Nikita.
        • It is assumed that she is there for Colt.
  • 2011
    • Summer
      • Pete drugs Colt's drink to get him sick to miss going to San Fransisco
        • This is to keep Colt away from where the Pack will be so they can't catch his scent.
      • While in San Fransisco at the bar HQ a dark haired thin man named Nick approaches Colt trying to get in with him. When Colt leaves he 'escorts' him to safety until he scents someone else and runs back to the bar entrance where he meets CE and tries to keep him from going into the bar where he would catch Colt's scent.
        • With Colt it is to keep him away from the Pack.
        • With CE it is to keep him away from catching Colt's scent.
    • Fall
      • McErickson goes to Mexico and basically directs Sam Sr to contact MaryAnn and that it would lead to them getting pack lands back in the US when an up coming pack needs help.
        • Did Galina perpetuate this?
    • Winter
      • Colt's Father begins hounding him to come home for his safety.
  • 2012
    • Summer
      • Colt's Father continues calling him, Resulting in Colt and the Pack traveling to Texas at the start of the Summer. While there Mr Parker calls a mysterious number letting them know Colt was there.
      • Colt and the pack are attacked by a Rouge Pack led by 'alpha' Adam Morrison
      • Dead Sailors in LA bring up an old case CE worked on while still active in the Military Police.
  • 2013
    • Spring
      • Galina has Giovanni have Colt recruited to his consulting firm.
      • CE theorizes their seriel killer is a man either dressed as or transitioned to female.
    • Summer
      • Someone points Cecil towards Prime as a puppet replacement for his ailing Alpha Luke. Resulting in Stan approaching CE which leads to the Challenge the following Summer.
  • 2014
    • Summer
      • Galina has Giovanni supply Colt with information on the other 8 queens.
      • Galina shows Dr Cunningham the blackmail footage. He is tasked with killing Colt.
    • Winter
      • Visited Mrs Rand and her daughter. Had her place a recording device in the dinner at the Inner Circles favorite booth.
  • Between April 2015 and March 2016
    • Galina had a side mission during the battle that wasn't able to get done because of Colt transforming.
    • Dr Cunningham administered drugs to Colt until Colt's wolf attacked him. These drugs are thought to have kept him under in that vision state. But the Doc was tasked with killing him...
    • Galina kills Cecil, Giovanni, Dr Cunningham, Mr Parker, Hank and Prof McErickson.
  • 2016
    • Spring
      • Galina texts Trent while he is in Shadowlands that they ened to meet. She kills him in Wilmington.
      • Natasha a woman at a college Jett visits tries to get him to tell her about Colt.

Wow! Of course I cannot comment - to avoid accidental spoilers. But WOW! Im imagining the post with MW8 chapter 9 on Colt ... that will be a thesis ...

I'm loving it.

Well glad you liked it even though you can't comment on it. Took a while to do even with my notes on many things.

 

A post on Colt like this in MW8 Chapter 9.... Are you insane... A post following Colt's activities would already be crazy to try and do right now in MW5 Chapter 13!

Today, I attended my friend's defence of her thesis. In the middle of the whole thing, my mind went "Balt!" and then I started thinking of Estonia. Almost did a head desk...

 

Maybe this means I'm slowly waking up from the numbness of December stress that has kept me from thinking lately. Maybe it just means I'm finally losing my mind.

 

By the way, Lätti means pigsty in Finnish. Läti means Latvian in Estonian. Very confusing...
