I read about this yesterday on Facebook.  I cried when I read the article.  So sad and senseless.  The treatment of the victims by the police, the press, and even their own families is disgusting.

The truly sad thing is that in 1973 it was not a shocking story and barely made it into the national news and the heartlessness was never mentioned....

Such a sad event in history. Even more heartbreaking is the reaction of the public at the time.

yes, I've known about this for a while but it didn't resurface into my mind until you mentioned it. It was horrible. I forgot how i come about this information years ago. Hopefully people will know about this incident that happened many years ago.
