I automatically thought it was the narrator... and the one watching him was feeling a distance, or him pulling away. Was I wrong?

Hahahah this is what I love about writing poetry, I had not meant it to turn out that way. But then re-reading it, I realised it made it so much more poignant.

Long legs sneaking by

Surprising stealth through the mist

A moose on the loose!

 

Happy munching sounds

Alert to fourlegged peril

Fruit trees in danger

defrosting in the spring sun

opens like crocus

Midsummer full moon.

A white cat with serene face

Shits in my lettuce.
