Popular Post Kitt Posted August 23 Popular Post Posted August 23 Kid loaned her pickup to her housemate the other day so she could take her kayak to the lake. Apparently she didn't like the tire touching her kayak, so took it AND THE JACK out and put it in the garage. Today Wings is towing a pony to a big show ( I'm driving a second trailer) and she calls me in a panic. Flat on a major interstate. So I swing that way with a jack but my spare will not fit her truck. Fords and Dodges don't play nice like that. We jack it up and remove the now shredded tire, and roust her guy out of bed to bring the spare out. Hopefully he has the sense not to stop for breakfast before delivering the tire. 2 3 1

About as much good as a spare with no air in it. That's happened to me. 19 minutes ago, weinerdog said: Unfortunately my spare tire is along with me everywhere I go It's a common problem. I think I have enough spare yo cover all four tires. 🫤 6 minutes ago, Kitt said: Kid loaned her pickup to her housemate the other day so she could take her kayak to the lake. I hope the day gets better for you. I think this week is National Idiots Week. Had customer service call me yesterday with a complaint from a guest: We have too many mosquitos. He gets bit every time he goes outside. And we have gators and armadillos. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ It's Florida... sigh. 2 6
Popular Post Wayne Gray Posted August 23 Popular Post Posted August 23 Mmmm. Yes. Get right on that mosquito problem, kbois. Didn't you know the customer was coming? So disappointing. 🙄 6 1

Their bite may not itch but they hurt! 6 1

Would they prefer the black flies from the horse country in the center of the state? Their bite may not itch but they hurt! This dude had a laundry list of complaints. Of course he calls the corporate office to bitch. Doesn't have the cajones to come up to my office. The woman in Chicago who had to deal with him was over it. In addition to the critters (which according to him the park down the street doesn't have) we haven't mowed in 2 weeks.. uh.. the crew comes once a week and I've seen them here. We've gotten a lot of rain.. you can literally see the grass growing. There were a few other things. I would've loved for him to come speak to me so I could tell him that I'm sorry that we're not the right fit for him and he's more than welcome to leave and find a new pplace.buh-bye. The kicker is he's only renting the unit from a resident who lists it as an Airbnb. 2 4

Only your principal residence can be listed as a short-term rental here. You can't own a second property and list it as Airbnb. 5

I wish we could forbid it. 3 1

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted August 24 Author Popular Post Posted August 24 It's Saturday. Okay, when I woke up, I thought it was Sunday, but then I remembered Michael's football game was on, and so it was actually Saturday. It is also Vesuvius Day...It was not a happy day, but a day worth remembering. About 20,000 people died when Vesuvius destroyed Pompeii. We watched a couple of documentaries about archeology there. It looks like Pompeii was a very beautiful place. 6

Seeing all the casts they had of people and animals who were killed in the eruption was so sad. There was a sort of dignity and grace to the exhibit, though, which was good. 2 3 2
