Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted December 16, 2018 Author Popular Post Posted December 16, 2018 (edited) Happy Sunday .... vitiate verb | VISH-ee-ayt Definition 1 : to make faulty or defective : impair 2 : to debase in moral or aesthetic status 3 : to make ineffective Here's one for word puzzle lovers—and anyone allured by alliteration. The sentence "Vivian vituperated the vicious villain for valuing vice over virtue" contains three words that derive from the same Latin source as vitiate. Can you identify all three? If you picked vituperate (a verb meaning "to scold"), vicious, and vice, your puzzle prowess is beyond reproach. Like vitiate, all three descend from the Latin noun vitium, meaning "fault" or "vice." Hehe ... I loves me some sweet, saucy and sexy alliteration.... Edited December 16, 2018 by Mikiesboy 5 1

And while coffee is bad for you when hungover, caffeine can be beneficial. Depending on how bad the hangover is, of course. My three step hangover cure is sleep, water, and aspirin with caffeine in it. Edited December 16, 2018 by Thorn Wilde 3 1 1

I remember Rudyard Kipling using it in Just So Stories in the “Elephant’s Child,” as spoken by the Bi-Colored-Python-Rock-Snake. Euphony and alliteration made an impression on me as a boy of four or five... 4 2

I braved the wilds of Walmart grocery section on a Sunday. Does that count as exercise? Coffee and Water is what I normally drink. Kool-aid on occasion, when it's not one of those nasty ass flavors, and rarely a Cock ... errr... I meant Coke. 5

A word I had seen in writing but never heard spoken, and had envisioned an almost inverse definition for because I would have associated it with things like "vitality". I doubt that I would ever use it unless I was desperate to finish off a rhyming couplet. And I LOVE alliteration. Yeah! All those nice sibilant "s" sounds make a sex scene sing with sybaritic satisfaction. 1 2 1

Just a few moments of Alpha Breathing should help. 1 3
