Morning, DiC! Hope everyone is doing well. And that none of you are awake at this ungodly hour on a Saturday where you all are

Please... I was up by 5 am my time as usual. I usually get more done in the mornings than the rest of the day.

Morning everyone.

Mom says "Hi" to my online friends. LOL. She does ask about you guys.

Usually, I go from mom's to the fitness center. Not this morning. Too much to do, but I will be there before the end of the day.

I'll be in and out.

Also, I woke up thinking today was Friday. It wasn't until AFTER we got home from Mom's and Walmart (again), that I realize it was Saturday.

i like the morning because it is quiet ... no squawking neighbours, no garbage trucks, no phones, no stereo or TV. Michael isn't bothered by noise ... He can have the stereo on, while watching a video on his computer ... i can't it's too distracting. Right now i am contemplating getting up to make coffee and possibly some whole wheat rolls to go with the soup i made yesterday for dinner ...

I prefer mornings. I like a soft start to the day waking about 5:30 then coffee, catching up online before walking the pup and brekkie. Mum on the other hand gets up about 6:30 reads abit until the morning news highlights from 7 to 7:20 ... then her shower, breakfast and off to the races ...

I have ham and bean soup simmering in the crockpot for dinner tonight.

Good night Dic 'o Maniacs!

I gotta be up early to post Chapter 1 of Changes, Again   The Party,  or droughtquake and Reader will not forgive me ....

Oh, I’d forgive you, tim. Or, would I? Hmm...

Anyway, as I said in my initial comment, it was worth - so very much - getting up early. Don’t do that for just anyone or anything, you know.

morning all

i like the quiet part of mornings, didn't happen today, but i like to sit in the dim light, snuggle the dogs, sip the coffee, & center myself for the day

even during the week, just that 10 minutes or so after taking Phil to carpool, before the kids get up i need that

Same. I really struggle when flatmate's watching YouTube videos while I'm trying to write. I can listen to music while writing, provided it's music I've chosen for the purpose. Boyfriend plays video games and watches documentaries at the same time. I cannot understand it. But he's happy to wear a headset if I need quiet.

Wish my mum did. She doesn't want to hear about GA. And she keeps saying I should try and write something to get published, but she won't read the stuff I post here, even when I send her links to stories without sex in them. This is what I write. I can't just choose to write something else if it's not something I want to write...

Hope everyone's doing well this afternoon/evening! I had my friend over and made my bolognese. He really liked it. Then we talked about music and writing and porn, lol! We can talk about anything, for hours. I really like him.

still at the mall, doing ok

the people watching is good

but is there no modesty any more?

back later

Very sorry you have to be at the mall. I'd rather stick a screwdriver into the palm of my hand. Be well, molls.

someone asked me why i dont try and publish .. really i dont care about it. i read a thing about a lot of real published authors these days .. the average income except for the lucky few is about $21,000 USD a year.  They need to find other work to survive.  I make more than double that at my job ... i get to write as i feel like it .. and a few kind souls read my work and say they like it. I could self-publish .. delude myself into thinking i've done some amazing thing .. ANYONE can do that.  i'm not going to. I like my job most of the time. i live the life i love..and i get to interact with beautiful, intelligent, funny, interesting and talented people.  Publishing doesnt make me good, or successful .. because i already am.  Tell your mother that. Tell her she is missing out on a huge part of you.
