“Today looks like a great day for laundry!” Said no one willingly...ever!

Yet, here I am, knee deep, and the girls are coming to decorate cookies.

Sometimes, I think I’m asleep when I make these plans.

Anyway, I’ll be bouncing in and out.

i folded some laundry on Thursday ... first time in a year. Michael usually does it.

Michael is a diabetic. He loves pasta. Of course, He shouldn't eat too much of it. So we bought a spiralizer. A bit of regular hi-fibre pasta and a whole lot of zuchinni noodles whizzed up in the spiralizer. I dump them in with the regular ones in the last few minutes of cooking and ta-da!! diabetic friendly pasta.

I love zuchinni coins.. slices baked in the oven with parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper. Very yummy.

I have a spiraliser, too. Got it primarily because my girlfriend was on a keto diet and I figured we could have some nice meals that way. Then we broke up. Go figure. Still, I use it occasionally.

The grated zucchini adds a delicate flavor that doesn't detract from the rest.  It also provides a bit of color and a painless serving of vegetable.  I make the pancake with corn muffin mix, a personal preference.  I prefer patty pan squash to zucchini, an even more delicate flavor, but it is only available from local gardens in the summer.  And that's a COFFEE mug in case anyone relates the label to an earlier conversation.  😉

Ssssuuurrreee BB. I remember you saying the Backwoods Bar was a goto spot for you. Admit it, that's an Irish Cream coffee. LOL

Y'all are making want some potato cakes, and some fried cornbread.

I still need to get that spiralizer, definitely by the time next summer rolls around.  There's a joke around here that you can identify those who have no friends because they are buying zucchini in August.  When I was a kid, my aunt had a cookbook dedicated to zucchini - 100 recipes I think.  She used it so regularly that once, when we were having swiss chard, I asked her if they were zucchini leaves.  The other zucchini recipe that I use regularly is a zucchini casserole that includes onions, Parmesan cheese, eggs, corn muffin mix, and a few herbs.

I'll do that.  I need to make an online copy anyway - the cookbook is so marked up it is illegible.

Right now, I'm headed out to the "buy local" holiday activities in town including local shops, a gift bazaar at the fairgrounds, and a beer tasting event at, you guessed it, the Backwoods Brewery production facility. :D

I didn't buy a thing.  It's the same old fecal matter every year.  But at least I looked.  I'll go to the beer tasting later.  I drove by and the line was very long.  From past experience, I know the inside of the production facility has very limited space.  If they've put in more tanks, it would be even less.  I went to a Christmas party there two years ago, and there was hardly space to stand, let alone move.  The fire marshal would have deposited a brick, to sanitize the expression.  After the discussions and the parts of your stories about social anxiety, I'm pretty sure I have a moderate level of the issue.  I hate crowds, and the small-town crowds are no better than the city crowds.  I'm gonna hang out in my house for most of the next month.  :pissed:

Social anxiety sucks. I've struggled with it too, especially in depressive episodes (I'm bipolar). I'm generally introvert, as well.

My depression is seasonal.  If I stay away from holiday BS and get out hiking or doing trail maintenance frequently, I'm okay.  I'm an introvert too.  I find it interesting that you are an introvert and yet an actively performing artist.  I would think that to be a particularly difficult combination.

I got one for my sister last Christmas.  She uses it sometimes, but seems to prefer spaghetti squash.

I'm the opposite of the introvert I need to be around people I get really sad and depressed when I don't get regular friendly interactions you know like your co-workers don't always cut it

And while I can do things on my own I'm not scared to do them on my own it's much much less fun for me to eat alone see a movie alone shop alone but it is to have someone with me

I love watching movies by myself. When I'm in a good place, I love cooking myself a really nice meal and eating alone.I need a lot of me-time. Gaming and writing does that, too. And I require silence. Today I got my flatmate to wear a headset for most of the day and hang out on the futon in the corner so I could have the sofa by myself in peace and quiet to work on my exam. Didn't get as much done as I should have, but gods was it nice to have the place be quiet

only time it is quiet here is between 5:30am and 7am before the upstairs morons get up.. otherwise forget it.  If it's not them then there are letters thru the door about coming in to look at windows, or the smoke detector, or the sink , or the water will be off to fix something, the monthly fire alarm checks ... people yelling.. it is never ending..  but i am glad you got to have some peace today!

:hug:I know all too well the anxiety issues. The days leading up to Thanksgiving, we were at the grocery store a/k/a Walmart, every fracking day. Several of those trips, saw me making a quick trip out the front door, as I felt a panic attack coming on.

Nothing wrong with Introverts. I shared this before in the other thread back when I was in my Psy110 class.
