Wow, molly! I had to read this article twice. It struck a nerve in me, not in a bad way, but in a thought provoking one. I've always been introverted, but never thought too much about just how much it affects me. It seems like the older I get, the more introverted I get, yet at the same time I handle it much better than I did when I was younger. I used to avoid speaking in front of large groups of people with everything I had in me. After being forced to do so for work, I learned how to deal with it (short, sweet and to the point). I still hate it. Group meetings and training sessions are nightmares for anxiety. Role playing should come with felony charges. However, I know that if necessary I can plaster a smile on my face and cover a presentation if needed even though I'm shaking inside at the thought. There's nothing more frightening than walking into a room filled with 100 band kids and their parents and have to speak in front of them. Those kids can smell fear like a shark smelling a drop of blood 10 miles away in the ocean. BUT....because I did it I ended up having 3 years of wonderful memories from my son's high school band days. So there are pros and cons. Being introverted is definitely not a bad thing. We introverts have no issues with social distancing. We were made for it. I'm usually ok if I'm meeting someone new and it's a friend of friend, but complete strangers are a different story. Starting a new job is one of the most stressful things for me. My inner circle is small and I like it that way. I also like that forums such as this allow me to express myself a little more boldly than I do in real life. The protection of anonymity is comforting. This forum is like a security blanket. Thank you for sharing molly. ❤

It is very good. I'm not an introvert, but I'm also not blind to them. Imagine a boardroom filled only with extroverts, not much would be accomplished. It's important to see each other and smart bosses and companies do understand how both types of people can contribute. Introverts are thinkers, preferring to consider before offering suggestions. @kbois says being online makes it easier to speak out. tim is the same way. molly, also i think. Nothing wrong with that. I don't think introverts should be expected to change or harness their inner extrovert. Do we ask this of extroverts; be quiet and think before you speak? No. We expect people to fit into the same shape boxes. Smart bosses know their people and know best how to get things out of them. They offer choices such as, see me later, or send me an email if you have a suggestion after the meeting. It's fairly simple. Online introverts can more easily offer up idea and suggestions. However, molly and tim can both attest to what can happen if they become a little outspoken ... not always a good thing for anyone. Excellent article, thank you, molly. 2

No. I’m the same way. I find being online here with you all has helped me overcome my trepidation about approaching and speaking to people I don’t know that well. Being here with you all along with your no strings attached acceptance/non-judgmental friendships have me be a lot braver in the real world. Case in point: without much thinking or worry, I was able to go across the street and have a really nice conversation with neighbours I didn’t know. That’s something that would have been very hard for me to do once upon a time. So, thanks everyone for just be you. 2

Excellent article, thank you, molly. I honestly admire both tim and molly for knowing who they are and embracing their submissiveness and for finding someone who completes them. Yes, being online does makes it easier to speak out. Nowhere in my 'real' life could I ever admit to anyone that I would never make a good sub. I'd be in time out every day. I'm pretty introverted with people I dont know, but for those who know me well....let's just say my best friend calls me her 'bright ray of sarcastic sunshine'. She's probably the only one who realizes I use humor and sarcasm as a coping mechanism and still loves me just the way am I. A boardroom full of extroverts? I'd be out the door in a heartbeat.

I understand, but I hope I did not confuse things. To be clear, tim and molly are introverts and they are submissive. However, one does not necessarily go hand-in-hand with the other. There are submissive extroverts just as there are submissive introverts. Being online lets them speak more freely than they likely would in 'real life', however, this has gotten them both in a bit of bother online before. As submissives, introverted or no, they still need to be aware of what they are saying. As an introvert, you yourself are not a sub, yet you feel freer to speak up. That's a great thing. @Reader1810 it is wonderful that our online world has made you more comfortable in approaching others and talking. I think that's brilliant. 3

Yes, Sir it has. And the couple of times i had to apologize in public for things, is well-learned lesson. i still sometimes begin to write something and then look at it carefully and then often change it in some way. 7

That's excellent to hear. Subs are expected to behave in certain ways, and being, I'll use the word outspoken, is not one of the preferred ways. It embarrasses you and also your Dom. However, this all happened some time ago and things have been much better since. Thank you , boy. 2

Popular Post mollyhousemouse
Sirs & friends i'm so glad that article sparked such conversation. i'm what the writer referred to as an ambivert. and i live in a house full on introverts, except for Number 2 Son. he can talk to anyone! i'm hoping that i'm able to remember those things in my dealings at home and at work hope everyone had a good day 8
Popular Post Starrynight22
I am super extroverted. Have been my whole life. Older kid is very very VERY introverted. He was a quiet, watchful, long-time-to-warm-up baby and that hasn't changed 20 years later. Little One is me. Except smaller and male. Loves people, loves new situations, adores being the center of attention, and makes friends everywhere. So do I. Its wild having 2 extremely different parenting experiences. 5

Giving it up until tomorrow. Ugh.. I hear you loud and clear. I’m like that with my mom’s 2016 car. I had a 95 Ford Escort. a Lovely car to drive. Simple and straightforward. With this one, I’m constantly forgetting I have to use the key fob to lock/unlock the car. I was moving the car last week and couldn’t figure out why the darn car wouldn’t lock. A voice reaches my ears “you probably have a door open”. Sure enough, the passenger door was open because I was checking to see how close I was to the curb, which I forgot I’d done so. Did I mention my short term memory is the pits? Anyhoo, problem solved and the door locked. As for the helpful voice? Attached to a landscaper working at the neighbour’s house across the street. And yes, he was mighty fine looking. 4

I have to close all my apps and reopen. I normally go into the phone place to get a phone and have the guys there set it up, but I don't want to go anywhere in Florida if I don't have to. mighty fine is all well and good until you realize you're old enough to be their mom (or dad), then it's more like...yikes! 🤭🤣

Popular Post chris191070
Good Morning all. Hope everyone is having a good Friday. In my area of the UK we have been put back onto restricted outings and visitors again. I've only ever been out shopping, despite my HIV I'm considered less high risk than my husband so he hasn't been anywhere in nearly 5 months now. Otherwise all is well. A nice dry sunny day, so off to mow the lawn. Have a good Friday.

I saw this this morning and thought it was good timing: It occurred to Pooh 🐻 and Piglet 🐷 that they hadn't heard from Eeyore for several days, so they put on their hats 🎩 and coats 🧥 and trotted across the Hundred Acre Wood🌲 to Eeyore's stick house 🏠. Inside the house was Eeyore. "Hello Eeyore," said Pooh. 🐻 "Hello Pooh. 🐻 Hello Piglet 🐷" said Eeyore, in a Glum Sounding Voice. "We just thought we'd check in on you," said Piglet, "because we hadn't heard from you, and so we wanted to know if you were okay." Eeyore was silent for a moment. "Am I okay?" he asked, eventually. "Well, I don't know, to be honest. Are any of us really okay? That's what I ask myself. All I can tell you, Pooh and Piglet, is that right now I feel really rather Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. Which is why I haven't bothered you. Because you wouldn't want to waste your time hanging out with someone who is Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All, would you now." Pooh looked and Piglet, and Piglet looked at Pooh, and they both sat down, one on either side of Eeyore in his stick house 🏠. Eeyore looked at them in surprise. "What are you doing?" "We're sitting here with you," said Pooh, "because we are your friends. And true friends don't care if someone is feeling Sad, or Alone, or Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. True friends are there for you anyway. And so here we are." 💚💜💚 "Oh," said Eeyore. "Oh." And the three of them sat there in silence, and while Pooh and Piglet said nothing at all; somehow, almost imperceptibly, Eeyore started to feel a very tiny little bit better. 💚💜💚 Because Pooh and Piglet were There.
