While I love Dugh's answer, here is the less funny answer. There is a bit of research on people purchasing utilitarian products during times of crisis, tp, cleaning products and alike. It is all about the illusion of control, it gives a degree of comfort knowing they have done “something”. And you can see your purchases piled up around the house. You might not be able to see your TV anymore but you have plenty of tp.

So my wise WQ is actually correct, when the world is going to be crap, people buy tp

My son just left. He came home and packed up clothes, groceries, his gym supplements and blender, his Keurig, a TV, and his XBox... left me Cookie and his Bearded Dragon. I know he'll be back and he's doing it because he and the other kids are worried for me, but it was sad.

Lol yeah in a Facebook group I saw a post saying crocheters use this period of isolation to make baby stuffs cause there'll be a baby-boom in 9 months

 think of it like they'd be gone in holidays for a couple of weeks and hopefully in the meantime spring will come and you can focus on your garden

That's exactly what I told myself, Tink. He and his girlfriend just got back from vacation, so this is more of the same. One of my daughters called me this morning... to make sure I was okay.   Ever since my hospital stay, they worry about me.
