dughlas Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 The governor has closed SC's beaches and all public access to the states waterways. Last week Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach and Horry and Georgetown Counties closed all hotels, motels and rental properties plus local attractions. That in essence has closed down the area as it's primary industry is tourism and there are now no tourists. I don't count as a tourist but rather as a "snowbird", someone from the North who winter's here. 1 1 3
Popular Post dughlas Posted March 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 31, 2020 (edited) The military installations in SC will no longer be releasing the results of Covid-19 testing to the public. SC is home to Shaw Air Force Base, the Army's Fort Jackson (the country's largest Basic Training facility) Parris Island Recruit Depot and Marine Air Station Beaufort. Gee, don't know how I forgot the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command since my son was stationed there. Edited March 31, 2020 by dughlas 6
dughlas Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 (edited) At four o'clock today the governor is expected to order all non-essential businesses in SC to close. Edited March 31, 2020 by dughlas 3 1 1

Popular Post Timothy M. Posted March 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 31, 2020 Wow, 1500 pages of chat, that's a lot. By now the Corona virus spread has slowed down enough here, that the authorities are considering a very careful relaxation of measures after Easter. But it will probably be months before we're back to normal, as the epidemic will stll be ongoing, and they'll be monitoring developments to be sure the infection rate doesn't increase again. Off to bed, see y'all tomorrow. 7

Finished strimming and clearing the brush from the garden yet? Almost there, Gary. Almost there! Although once I get finished and everything raked up, I shall go over the main part again using the cord in the strimmer instead of the blade. That should result in a much neater finish. And, yes. I will share some before/after photos eventually. 5 1

Although they haven't announced a relaxation yet here in Ireland, we have been warned that if and when one does take place it may only be temporary. Sleep well, Master Tim. 6 1
Page Scrawler Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Ruel Van Dijk is supposed to hold a concert at Detroit's Majestic Theater on August 7th. I know that's still five months away, but you never know what could happen. I've held off buying any tickets just yet. 2
