My AC picked the perfect timing to go on the fritz... of course it had to be on a record-setting day for heat.    So I had a very uncomfortable night last night.  Thank goodness I still had a fan I could use.  And my bathroom sink is stopped up.    Of course everything has to happen at once.    Today will be another scorcher and record-setter.  Hopefully it won't take too long to get a repair appointment set up.

Well my mom came over and we changed the batteries in the thermostat.  It's still not working right, though.  It takes forever to turn on and off and it's not cooling like it should.  I'm waiting for a recommendation for a heating/cooling service, then I'll see how soon I can get an appointment.  I have a call into the plumber for the bathroom sink, because we couldn't fix that either.  So we're 0/2 so far.    Although I have the best mom ever... she got rid of the now ex-bee from the window.  Instead of just dumping it in my garbage can, she took it home to dispose of it in her garbage can because I would still freak out when I took the garbage out, just knowing its in there.   And yes... I know I'm crazy, so there's no need to point it out
