It's still not working right, though. It takes forever to turn on and off and it's not cooling like it should. I'm waiting for a recommendation for a heating/cooling service, then I'll see how soon I can get an appointment. I have a call into the plumber for the bathroom sink, because we couldn't fix that either. So we're 0/2 so far. Although I have the best mom ever... she got rid of the now ex-bee from the window. Instead of just dumping it in my garbage can, she took it home to dispose of it in her garbage can because I would still freak out when I took the garbage out, just knowing its in there. And yes... I know I'm crazy, so there's no need to point it out Yeah, but what about our fun... crazy lady... 7
Popular Post dughlas Posted May 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 27, 2020 Bertha seems to have passed us by and is now in central NC. River flooding is expected in counties to the north and west but should not cause us problems. It is warm 77/25° with 93% humidity and very breezy. 7
Site Administrator Popular Post Valkyrie Posted May 27, 2020 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted May 27, 2020 It's 88 here and sunny, so not quite as bad as yesterday. I called a company that had good online reviews and they came out pretty quickly and fixed my AC. So it's much more comfortable in here now. And it was an easy and relatively inexpensive fix. 2 6

Popular Post Marty Posted May 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 27, 2020 Eight years ago today I climbed Errigal which, at 751 metres (2,464 ft) above sea level, is the highest point in County Donegal. Spoiler Yours truly standing on the summit. Errigal was voted "Ireland's Most Iconic Mountain" by Walking & Hiking Ireland magazine in 2009. Spoiler This view was taken on the same day, before I climbed the mountain. It certainly does have an iconic appearance. That's not snow on its flanks, but quartzite. It often appears pink as the sun starts to set. 1 6

That's awesome! One more day of air conditioning here and then I should be able to shut it off for about two weeks. Will feel like 30° tomorrow and then start to dip. 1 3 3
