But I get what you mean. We're so used to having them by our sides we don't realize their lives are shorter than ours. Our eldest will be 12 in February. She's good but doesn't go out much especiallyin winter, just in garden and the front lawn to go to the neighbor's. But she's still fiery when Looping is bothering her and she's back to being a kitten when chasing a dead leaf

We're hosting this year. My idea cause otherwise it'd have been at my aunt and we'd have to be there at 12am sharp and then in the afternoon with my brother we'd get bored  so yeah totally selfish.

So it'll be us 3, my aunt, her husband and 2 kids, my grandma and my uncle from my mom's side as he doesnt have a family of his own and hasn't been invited by is other siblings. I've also asked my great-aunt but my mom's sister had asked her 2 weeks ago but it was still lockdown so she'll see what she wants to do.

From the shoulder blade). I'm still unsure about the recipe especially for the glaze part. I saw some receipts with marmalade, another one with black tea and brown sugar and another one with beer 🤔 dad don't want something too sweet, just caramelized/crispy.

With I'll probably go for something quick and easy to cook like a gratin dauphinois with green veggies on the side.

We're going to the neighbors for Christmas. The past few years a group of us have gone to a nearby German restaurant but with covid we've opted to keep things small and close to home. I think we're having a baked ham. We, well really me, are responsible for the dessert.

For Christmas Eve I'm planning to make Maryland style crab cakes. Christmas morning I'll make a frittata for brekkie.

Sounds delish  For Christmas morning breakfast I'll make a crustless ham and Swiss quiche.

Mum did once when we were kids. The ham was huge, seriously huge. It tasted delicious but there were soooooooo much leftovers. At the end we made ham and cheese sandwiches and froze them for use in the jaffle iron / sandwich press
