My son was here on Monday, and he says Falkor is at least ten, maybe eleven. That shocked me. I never thought of him as old, but my son says outdoor cats don't live as long as indoor cats. But yours are sheltered in the barn, pretty safe and very well feed so they'll live long and happy lives. Plus I thought we'd established a long time ago that you've been trained and that Falkor isn't an outdoor cat But I get what you mean. We're so used to having them by our sides we don't realize their lives are shorter than ours. Our eldest will be 12 in February. She's good but doesn't go out much especiallyin winter, just in garden and the front lawn to go to the neighbor's. But she's still fiery when Looping is bothering her and she's back to being a kitten when chasing a dead leaf Edited December 16, 2020 by clochette 1 7

We're going to have dinner on Christmas eve at her house. I thought I'd make some soup and we'll probably have some snacks too. I made more Christmas cookies today and plan on making fudge tomorrow so I'll bring those. Christmas we are having filet mignon instead of our usual rib roast. I said I'd have Christmas at my house this year since it's just the two of us. We're hosting this year. My idea cause otherwise it'd have been at my aunt and we'd have to be there at 12am sharp and then in the afternoon with my brother we'd get bored so yeah totally selfish. So it'll be us 3, my aunt, her husband and 2 kids, my grandma and my uncle from my mom's side as he doesnt have a family of his own and hasn't been invited by is other siblings. I've also asked my great-aunt but my mom's sister had asked her 2 weeks ago but it was still lockdown so she'll see what she wants to do. 6 1

Popular Post Drew Espinosa Posted December 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 16, 2020 Ooh, 1975. This is the year that Jeanne Calment turned 100. She was a Frenchwoman that would go on to become the oldest verified human to ever live (she passed away twenty two years after 1975). 1 4 2
Sherye Story Reader Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 This is actually the year I graduated High school! With my sister who was 2 years younger than me. I was lazy in school! lol 5

Yesterday was full of sunshine and clear blue skies, and the snow from Saturday and Sunday was continuing to melt. Then, Tuesday came along with the temperature plunging below freezing and more snow. And according to the weather forecast, the temperature will shoot back up by tomorrow. Can't the weather make up it's mind? @Albert1434 needed more snow to complete the snowhobbit you requested. 5
Sherye Story Reader Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 I hate when I am trying to read something and I get a twitch in my eyebrow which makes it hard to even read! Hard to focus when that happens! Geeze! 4

And all of those shires are in England, not New Zealand (apart from Flintshire, which is in Wales). What about Worcestershire? I've got some in the pantry. 5

I've wanted to make a roasted ham for a few years now and it'll finally happen I've bought 2 (bought a second as my uncle and maybe great aunt are coming and I want leftovers) shoulder hams (also call Boston butt I saw on the internet? From the shoulder blade). I'm still unsure about the recipe especially for the glaze part. I saw some receipts with marmalade, another one with black tea and brown sugar and another one with beer 🤔 dad don't want something too sweet, just caramelized/crispy. With I'll probably go for something quick and easy to cook like a gratin dauphinois with green veggies on the side. Green veggies ... you're gonna make green veggies? 1 3

The past few years a group of us have gone to a nearby German restaurant but with covid we've opted to keep things small and close to home. I think we're having a baked ham. We, well really me, are responsible for the dessert. For Christmas Eve I'm planning to make Maryland style crab cakes. Christmas morning I'll make a frittata for brekkie. 3 3

The ham was huge, seriously huge. It tasted delicious but there were soooooooo much leftovers. At the end we made ham and cheese sandwiches and froze them for use in the jaffle iron / sandwich press 1 5
