A oilfield truck hit a electric pole and knocked half of our rural community of electricity out plus all of our cable and internet out all over our rural community. I was having internet withdrawals! lol Welcome back, ma Sherey! If your electricity was out as well, I just hope that your heating doesn't rely on it. Edited January 5, 2021 by Marty 4

I live on the northside of the rural community where our electricity was not affected, but it did affect all our cable and internet. The southside was the ones that did not have electricity until this morning 4

All of us lost cable and internet but only the southside lost their electricity. I would have froze to death if I had not had electricity. Thank goodness northside did not lose but a few seconds of it but glad I now have my internet back! I was having internet withdrawals! lol 4

Popular Post Marty Posted January 5, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 5, 2021 It's been a beautiful sunny, albeit cold, day here today. It's now dark, and the sky is absolutely cloud free, meaning I could see the Milky Way when I just went outside into my back garden. Of course, that clear sky means that it shall get extremely cold overnight, with a forecast low of -7°C/19°F. The coldest night of the winter so far. I spent much of the day outside tidying up the garden, and made a bonfire of some of the material that I have gathered/accumulated over the summer/autumn. There were still a few flames flickering when I went out to check on it a few minutes ago. Lovely smell of wood smoke a couple of hours after dark! Another Zoom session coming up in five minutes time, so I'm gad I have already eaten. See you all on the other side! (Assuming I get out alive.) 2 3 1

Sherye Story Reader Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Now days when you go to the reading room and you realize your book aka phone has fallen out of your front pants pocket and think that should I ask my stepmom to bring it to me or not! He did and I had to close my eyes and hold my nose to hand it to him! I know! TMI! 2 2

Hey, Marty. Hi, Page! Sounds like that could be fun (if Zoom didn't get in the way). Spoiler Although what might even be more fun would be navel gazing (with a Hot Body). 6
Sherye Story Reader Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Now I know I am allergic to my rural community! I can not stop sneezing! No, I am not moving. I will just have to be allergic to it. I do live in a desert and a small rural community called Sand Springs! lol And I do mean SAND! 2

Due to the influence of the Gulf Stream off the west coast of Ireland, we normally have mild, wet winters. Hopefully it doesn't last too long. Spoiler Question: What's the difference between an Irish summer and an Irish winter? Answer: Spoiler The rain's warmer in the summer. 8
