Popular Post dughlas Posted February 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2021 It's back to bed for me. I didn't sleep well. The medicine I took for the migraine upset my stomach causing acid reflux that had me awake for a couple hours. Because of heavy rain most of yesterday Thistle's routine was off. Normally he and mum and the neighbor have an evening walk, the rain prevented that. He made quick trips out into the rain to piddle but no doopy. At 3:20am he had to go out to resolve that issue. Fortunately it wasn't raining. Took a bit before I fell back to sleep. At 5am the alarm went off. I hit the snooze a couple times before getting up but after starting the coffeemaker and potty breaks for Thistle and me I went back to bed until 6am. Been up about an hour and a half. Put the trash out so mum needn't do it despite her assurance that she could. It's wet, sloppy and chilly. I'm not having her out in that. I'm tired my head aches so it's back under the blankets for me. Blessed be y'all. 1 2 6

Popular Post Bucket1 Posted February 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2021 Hmmmm... lockdown is getting to me, well stupid journalists asking stupid questions at press conferences really really really annoy me. if we have a bushfire and someone’s house is on fire, yes on fire, are they required to stay inside? Seriously? That’s the important question you wanted to ask? if exercise is limited to two people, can a mother of 5 kids take them all out at the same time? Limited to two people, limited to one plus one, not ten not five just two. Sigh... Why didn’t the guard get tested earlier? Hmmm felt sick Friday arvo, went to doctor at 5pm on Saturday and test results published at midnight Saturday night. Yes but why did he wait until 5pm. Obviously these idiots have never had to make a doctors appointment. 30 people that the guard knew were not tested because he didn’t have contact with them in the time he was infectious. So why are these people not in quarantine asks the journalist. NO CONTACT WITH HIM... did you not listen? Deep breaths... 2 3 3

Popular Post Bucket1 Posted February 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2021 Hey Gary, yep it would be funny, probably will be funny in the future. Listening to me shout at the screen would have been funny if anyone had been watching 8

I'm sorry but I couldn't help laughing ... your lockdown earned a small mention in my local daily newspaper. Likely half the people reading it will know where Perth is and will wonder why you have quarantine guards. 3 3

Popular Post clochette Posted February 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) Home sweet home. After the surgery, when I was well awake and after a quick check up with the surgeon, around 1.30pm I had a snack/breakfast of Madeleines, tea and juice. Dad picked me up at the clinic an hour later but I had to go to a quick consult at the hospital with the surgeon as the pressure in my eye was a bit high earlier. To relived the pressure he put a needle in my eye! gross like when you pop a blister and juice run out and all when I was waking up apparently I was saying Looping over and over and the nurses thought I was being dizzy I hope it's the only weird thing I said out loud... speaking of the devil when I call his name he turns to me happy and then looks all scared when he see me I guess he's not impressed by my pirate patch Edited February 1, 2021 by clochette 1 6 1

Popular Post Headstall Posted February 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2021 I just finished chapter eight of a new story. It's hard to pick up a story after leaving it for a long time. But, I think I might be able to finish this one finally... still a long way to go.... 5 3
Popular Post Marty Posted February 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) Talking of missing photos (as I was an hour or so back in relation to Gary's "Happy Friday" post), I didn't actually take any of my garden work today. I spent a few hours outside, but the signs of progress are small at the moment. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I intend to clear away as much of the remaining growth inside the second shed as I can, and then I think I will leave that work for a while. The bulk of the overgrowth has now been removed, so I don't have to worry about disturbing/destroying any birds nests when I come back to do the final tidying up. Indeed, that could even be left now until the summer, when the days will be longer (and warmer). Instead I shall start work on cutting back and tidying up the boundary hedge in the upper garden that I mentioned a week or so back. The first part of that job will actually involve removing the ivy from the very end of the high rear boundary wall. You may remember that last year, when I was removing the bulk of the ivy on top of that wall, I stopped before I got to the final corner because a pair of robins had started to build a nest between the ivy and the wall. If I think on, I'll take a photo or two from outside my property showing what I shall be facing into, before I start any work. It may be interesting to be able to compare before and after ones.
