Page Scrawler Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 (edited) Ugh. Work was a b**ch today. Lil old Me, Myself, and I were scheduled to work from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Every time I turned around, another ticket for a salad/appetizer. Working on salads -> no work getting done on dishes, which creates a small mountain of roasting pans and large containers. Working on dishes-> no work getting done on food prep -> more work for the Late Crew. One lad showed up as scheduled at 3:30. Two more lads arrived around 3:45, about 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled time. This means there are now four guys in a kitchen measuring about 15 x 18 square ft. So, I decided to punch out early. Surely it couldn't hurt? Got treated to an 8-minute lecture by my boss after I logged out of the computer. Unfortunately, 'twill be like this on certain days until the end of April, when college classes end. Edited March 4, 2021 by Page Scrawler 2 3

Popular Post dughlas Posted March 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2021 We've return to warm sunny weather after a day and a half of rain. Current temp is 69/20°. Mum, Thistle and I worked outdoors this morning. Mum weeded, I pruned shrubbery and Thistle supervised and greeted passing neighbors. Success on all parts. 7

Popular Post Marty Posted March 5, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) After midnight again... But before I go, I think I should perhaps apologise for suggesting last night that you are all driving me crazy. I know we're all actually normal people in here. But, then again, that probably all depends on how you actually define normal. Anyways, I'll just leave you with this explanation: I'm not sure if the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band ever actually made it across the Pond from England, but I hopefully their irreverent form of normalness will keep you entertained... (Come to think of it, I'm not even sure if The Temperance Seven, one of whose offerings I shared with you last night, ever made it across the Pond, either.) Edited March 5, 2021 by Marty 3 4
Site Administrator Popular Post Valkyrie Posted March 5, 2021 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted March 5, 2021 I had a nice dinner with my mom tonight. She made a roast chicken and I had veggie fries while she had stuffing. She made a nice gravy to go with the chicken, so I doused my fries in it. Yum! It's supposed to drop into the teens tonight and then we get a blast of snow tomorrow into Saturday. After that, we'll start warming up with temps in the 60s a week from now. 4 3
