Popular Post Bucket1 Posted March 10, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2021 Humid... so humid... hate it... Got a bit dizzy working in the heat and humidity, sweaty, dusty, tired, bored, grumpy... Took kitchen stuff to the Op Shop/Charity Shop... felt so smug driving back... I had got rid of all the stuff from Dad's house... only to find more stuff Getting dizzy on the stairs while alone was a bit of a wake up call. Drink more water, slow and steady wins the race, drink more water 6

It's raining here, and we've a Status Yellow wind warning in place for the whole country until 7:00am tomorrow morning, with gusts expected to reach around 90 to 110 km/h (55 to 70 mph). Forecast is for the rest of the week to be unsettled, with a fair bit of rain. So I don't think I'll be getting a lot of outside work done over the next few days. The good news, though, is that present indications are that the weather will settle down again after the weekend, with next week seeing much less wind, and lots of dry weather. Morning, bro. 4 1

Popular Post clochette Posted March 10, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2021 (edited) Well seems like I'll have to call my aunt this week about a successorale matter about a great aunt who passed away almost 4 years ago. Aunt who I've talked to maybe twice in the last year. The last time being when I called her to announced my mom's death. Phone call which didn't ended well to say the last... I could send an email but most of the time her email box is full so they're coming back to the sender and she'll likely take an email the wrong way... best take a chill pill before calling her. Ugh family! Edited March 10, 2021 by clochette 2 1 1 3

Popular Post Headstall Posted March 10, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2021 What a beautiful day! Sunny and warm... the snow is melting and there are new green spots to enjoy. Oh, and there is a really pretty, orange tabby male with a white front who has moved into the barn and is getting it on with my female cats. He's big, and I think he is the reason the old gray male is keeping a low profile. 7

Unfortunately, I don't feel up to going out and enjoying it Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better. I signed up to do a 5k in July... my BFF is going to participate too. 4 1 2

The good news, though, is that present indications are that the weather will settle down again after the weekend, with next week seeing much less wind, and lots of dry weather. It's currently sunny with a sea breeze keeping the temp around 63/17°. Overall a lovely day. This morning. Mum and I went to breakfast at our usual place. However, we will not be going back until both mum and I have received both doses of vaccine because the Governor of SC in his wisdom declared it no longer mandatory that servers in restaurants wear face coverings. The owners of the establishment have grown tired of wearing masks and decided that they would no longer do so. The thing is that while it is no longer mandatory the same order lists guidelines that say restaurants should require servers and customers to wear face coverings. Mum gets her second shot next Tues. So by the end of the month she should be protected. I however only became eligible for the vaccine this passed Monday. I was able to schedule an appointment for my first shot but my appointment isn't until Sunday, April 11th. That's 5 and 1/2 weeks away. Add 3 weeks to that and my 2nd shot wont happen until the beginning of May. Fortunately that timing means I should be protected by the time we head to PA at the end of May. After brekkie we went to a nearby mixed residential/commercial/recreational complex where my barber is located. While I got my hair cut mum and Thistle walked around a little than found a nice sunny spot to sit and relax. When I rejoined them we walked the 1.1 mile around the pond before visiting our favorite Orvis store. From there we went for lunch where we dined al fresco. I had a bratwurst sandwich and pommes frites and mum had a Cordon Bleu crepe. After lunch we headed home with a stop for groceries. Now we're all relaxing. 7
