Ugh there were some thunder, a bit of rain but it didnt broke the heaviness of the air, it still feels very muggy even at 9pm

The only time I was on the stand in a court of law, I refused to swear on the "holy" bible. After a bit of initial confusion the judge allowed me to make a promise that I would tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I didn't end that with "So help me, God" because, as I explained to the judge, I am an atheist.

(I could have invoked the Almighty Cod - but I didn't think the serious nature of the proceedings warranted that sort of humour.)

(And, no. I wasn't the accused. I was just giving evidence.)

I just replaced my mailbox (and straightened the post) and it was muggy as hell here too. Could hardly breathe by the time I was done... had to carry some really big rocks to brace the post while it sets.

It is really nice having two seasons of fresh strawberries. So far I made 4 fresh strawberry pies. I start by making a homemade graham cracker crust then fill that with fresh berries mixed in a binder made with sugar, cornstarch and gelatin. Once the pie has set I top it with fresh whipped cream. Yummy.
