Popular Post Drew Espinosa Posted February 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2022 Howdy y'all! My nephew is out of the hospital and is much better. The only noticeable injuries he still has are the bruises on his face, but thankfully those are starting to fade. Thank you all for the well wishes for my family. 7

I hope he'll overcome the trauma quickly too and that the school will be there to accompany him and the family. We talk a lot about bullying in classes but I'll never understand how kids can go that far. It's kinda "normal" for kids to have little arguments and fights but to send another kid to the hospital... 6 1

It's still a shock to me that this occurred in the same high school I attended. In my four years there, I never heard about something like this happening. So I wonder if bullying like this became a problem after I graduated or if it was always there and I wasn't aware of it. 1 hour ago, dughlas said: I'm glad the physical injuries are healing, hope any emotional damage is short-lived as well. From what I could see, I think my nephew is okay emotionally, when I saw him Friday, he was excitedly talking about getting his license this summer. Even so, I do think it'd be a good idea to send him to a therapist, just to be sure. 6

I fear that recent social changes like all the antitrans laws and deep political divide are making it easier for bullies to feel freer to act. The idea that if people aren't like you they're less than you and don't need to be treated as equals. I agree with you that seeing a therapist to be certain he's okay would be a good thing. 2 5
